Saffron: I'll die. Mal: Well, as a courtesy, you might start getting busy on that, 'cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I do have a minor casting quibble -- it'd be nice if some of the recognizable actors turned out to actually be just random strangers, and some of the unknown extras turned out to be working for the race. So far, it's been too easy to spot the plants because they're all pinging my "Oh, it's that guy!"-o-meter.

It's not that I'm the only one, it's that I'm the honest one.

Regarding the ratings: fuck.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

So, what was on CBS last night?

Because books.

The Amazing Race is on CBS from 8-9 EST.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Amazing Race, for one.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's not like the other networks had a whole lot going on event wise either. That concerns me more than anything.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

The other networks were empty. Drama -- they had Desperate Housewives. That was it.

Don't want to be negative, but... Uhm. It's done worse than Firefly did on a Friday night.

Let's see how it does tonight (but it's against the dancing bloody monkey show).

The advanced downloaders must have been the higher tech Firefly fans. That's the only way I can account for the interest.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wouldn't worry too much, since it wasn't in its regular timeslot -- it's the ratings tonight that will matter.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yes. This.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I wonder if I can bang into work sick due to Nielsen ratings.
