You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

OMG hated the song over the credits. Sorry, Tim, but it's just wrong for the pace and the energy level of the show.

I watched with a fannish pal, and as soon as we got the flashback she figured out that that was Corinna's backstory, which was awesome. Hence the stowaway and the lying and everything. I'm sure she's got more going on, but I like her motives.

That was, in fact, very very fun. Wheee! I love all the other music and so far the characters are interesting (although blondie who hooked up with Wendy is annoying), and I'm already worrying about who is going to die.

Anyway, fun! Can't wait for tomorrow night. (Although Fox's teasers are far too detailed...)

Well, I wasn't sure ahead of time, but I really liked it. Good work, Tim and Kristen! I even got a family friend hooked enough to switch from Dancing with the Stars tomorrow. Toaster for me!

Watching with family, there were some interruptions, so I have a couple of questions:

  • I saw that Tully stole Alan's car, but later he was driving in the truck again. How did this happen?
  • Did anyone catch what the waitress said to Wendy?

I'm on my aunt's dialup, so have to run, but looking forward to tomorrow's ep!

All is well that ends in pizza.

I saw that Tully stole Alan's car, but later he was driving in the truck again. How did this happen?

It died immediately out of the gas station.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That was really really fun, even when it was tense-making.

Wheee!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Which made Mr. Jane laugh so hard he scared the dogs into barking for the next 10 minutes.

I REALLY liked it.

I hope it stays. Not being on Friday, it might even have a shot. But that is one gloriously crack-addled show.

LOVED the "I think I shoulda shot you." line.

Thanks Daniel. That must have happened at one of those points when someone stood in front of the tv, talking. These moments were fortunately brief.

That's my one bummer. Due to annoying distractions, I missed a bunch of stuff, and want to see these first two episodes again.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind watching again. I lost a couple of viewers tonight because they stepped away a couple of times and couldn't get caught up. I don't think that it would have been their cup of tea anyway, though. Those of us left were trying hard to keep track, but still missed some, clearly.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ayup. Watched. Enjoyed.

It felt fast-paced, which was good, because I was a little worried about the format. I'm still worried about the size of the ensemble cast, but so far so good. Although I'm thinking ala Lost I should view the initial crowd scenes for potential other racers.

*Loved* the motorcycle riding couple turning out to be older! Hee! Loved the brothers helping out Violet.

Knew when I saw the waitress that it wasn't a one-time shot. She was too big an actress to just randomly be the waitress in the town they were passing through.

I need to rewatch. Which is good. I think with the weird format this is going to feel over super fast. I feel like I just gorged by having two hours already and more coming tomorrow.

I didn't notice the green-screening at all, but I generally don't. So yay for that. And kudos to the actors, 'cause that must be tough to pull off. I'll want to see character stuff, like the characters responding to the smell of the air, details of stuff on the road they drive by, for me to feel like they're inhabiting the road, you know? If they were going to all that trouble, though, it seemed like they'd make more effort to get the road details right. I don't know Florida, so it didn't bug me, but it will when they get to the bits I know. Basic geography.

Lots of questions to be answered.
