We've seen nearly a 4 fold increase of traffic to DF over the last week. It's ramping up day by day (it's more popular than the Serenity site at the minute). So that fills me with a little glee. The original target was to hit 100,000 unique visitors by air date, and it looks like we'll exceed it slightly -- I figure it's not bad for a show which ain't aired yet.
There's a bit more buzz on the interwebs today, too, and the schedule looks almost entirely clear (aside from the dancing with monkies show and Housewives on Monday).
Tonight, while watching The Shield, I saw a promo for Tim Minear's Drive. Two commercials later, I saw a promo telling me to catch "an all new season of Drive, only on Fuel TV." Not the same show. This can't be good.
Fillion and probably some other stars were doing their Fox duty and sitting in the American Idol audience this week. If there's any concern that Drive commercials aren't reaching an audience, they get Super Bowl viewers several times a week on AI.
Where was he? I didn't catch him. But, to be bitchy, I find most of this year's AI contestants to be better fodder for the ears than the eyes. So I often work on something else while it's on.
ETA:
Never mind! Found 'em! Kristin and Kevin were there too.
Serial posting for those who, like me, spaced out during American Idol -- if you missed the Drive cast appearance, no worries. I got you covered.
Also, if all those faces have you confused, the official Web site now has character bios! I'm told ita should check out Leigh's bio, especially that last sentence.
What they should do for a promo is pay for one of those crazy high speed race driving school thingers where we can race the cast members. Hee.
Grand Prix of Long Beach is this weekend with it's annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. And it occurs to me that I have no idea who will be driving this weekend but it'll be a shame if no one from TV's hit
Drive
is there to rally (and chicane) for the cause.
eta: [link] Guess not.

Yeah, the other Drive confused my TiVO until the Real Drive showed up.
The first promo I found online for Drive was, in fact, the Fuel TV series Drive. I was like "Tim made this? Was he on crack?".
Drive premieres at Universal City tonight in LA. Anybody goin'? Whitefont abound!
The policy is that it's a spoiler if it hasn't aired in the US, correct?
