To be honest, I never even noticed the stunt double issues until I read about it online. And then I noticed it, constantly. And then I wished I didn't read the internets.
The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I didn't notice the stunt doubles until Sophia left and then it was very obvious to me because one of the girls had an actual ass, whereas SMG not so much.
however, i can go back now and watch the dvds and it's pretty obvious in season two when it's DB and when it's his stunt double.
Cindy - I have this strange proprietary feeling for all of ME. I don't watch their shows, but I'm happy that Hannigan and DB have landed successful gigs.Me, too. They're my people, even if they wouldn't know me if they fell over me. I love them.
Same w/ Espenson, I don't see her new stuff, but she's working and I like to check her blog. Marti, Fury... all the way down the line. But it's Tim, Tim I've come to expect sparkage from.
Jane did a lovely couple of episodes on Battlestar Galactica. I read her blog all the time, too. I tried Marti's Point Pleasant, but I found the first ten minutes unwatchable, so I gave up. Fury inserts little shout-outs into 24. Last season there were hostiles and an Agent Finn, among others.
I think Tim is the one to watch too, though. And Joss, if he ever comes back to TV. I want him to have a wonderful film career, but I want him back on my TV.
I miss seeing Petrie's handiwork on my favorite shows.Oh, I love the Petrie. Okay, I pretty much love them all. What a gifted group of people, huh?
Nice to see that Sophia's still working a lot though. I didn't realize she was Christina Ricci's stunt double in Cursed!
I think she's worked on Veronica Mars, as well.
Jane's going to be on Eureka now.
Wait, what?
That's what Colin told me. Let me google a cite.
Colin - Right. You know, Jane Espenson is writing an episode for us. She was a writer on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. She is a really, really accomplished writer, so we're thrilled that she has agreed to step in and write an episode for us.
She's doing the new Andy Richter show too, right?
Yes, and Battlestar Galactica, but the Eureka ep is a surprise. Saw it coming, though, when one of the Eureka writers used the contact form to gush about her.
That is great news. I enjoyed Eureka last year and am looking forward to the next season.
Jane's going to be on Eureka now.
That's right. I knew that, somehow. Did we mention it in Boxed Set.
