The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Blow by blow of the latest Drive ad from somebody at Drivefans:

Showed Riley in military uniform, a quick clip of Nathan. Showed varying cast members in what looked like a factory giving sound bites on why they're racing including three of the chicks who are apparently racing together and the pregnant lady. Showed shadowy pics of the 3 or 4 people in charge being menacing. Showed a scene from what looked like the Keys. Showed people getting calls. Had a voice over. Had a montage of scenes, including one full-on pic of Kevin Alejandro and a quick scene of Nathan hitting some guy. More quick cuts.

Drivefans - site has 147 registered members, Myspace has 118. Site - approx 1500 or so individual visitors in last week, with 50% of them new visitors. Although I haven't really spent much time on it myself, as I have moved (I have a sofa, Jackal!) and lack a proper internerd connection as telecom companies are actually run by THE DEVIL. It's plainly obvious that FOX are getting the word out, though, reading the forums - there's random people swooning over actors that weren't in Firefly. And such like. Which never happened with Theinside.org.

It's not that I'm the only one, it's that I'm the honest one.

I have a sofa, Jackal!

Does that one double up as a bed as well?

Also, telecom companies favor those who fix image galleries. Or so I'm told.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Hey. New board.

YouTubing for TV's hit Drive is hard. (I actually typed in "TV's hit Drive" and only found videos of some poor family hitting a "dear" on accident.)

I managed to find an old promo by typing "Drive Minear"... are any newer ones available yet? I haven't DVRed AI. I could DVR tonight's I GUESS, but it will make me feel dirty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Get dirty for Drive. It's the least you can do.

There was a promo on again during AI tonight. I think it was the same promo as last night's but I'm not sure.

Can someone with a better memory tell me if last night's promo started with, "Fox breaks the mold again...With a revolutionary new series..."?

Polter-Cow - Jan 31, 2007 7:47:15 pm PST #3819 of 10001
What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think that's how it started, yeah.

It's revolutionary because they film in cars.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's revolutionary because they film in cars.

And they break molds. In most other shows, either the molds remain unbroken or they have no molds to begin with.

Huh. I totally blocked that part out. My mind works in mysterious ways.

Also, I see that the new one has now hit that online place with the video clips.
