I hate you.

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
That's OK. I have freshly laundered towels, blankets... why, whatever I want, to keep me warm!
Someday, I will have my own washer/dryer. That is my new goal.
In theory, this should be more attainable than the writing thing, no?
Not necessarily. I've seen your living space.
Duet front-loading washer and dryer
::covets Monique's washer and dryer:: We have a washer and dryer on the boat, but they aren't near big enough to wash all the jeans or towels. is jealous some more
So I betcha breakfast that he's probably home, writing.
It's just as well 'cause it's freakin' raining again..
Well, see...what needs to happen is I need to demolish the existing walk-in closet (Yes, Allyson, I'm talking about tearing down walls again.) and replace it with a longer but more shallow reach-in depth closet. If I went to that fancy closet design place, I bet they could give me a great organized closet with room for everything, including a washer/dryer.
This would, of course, cost a lot of money.

Probably too early to ask for a raise.
I'd just like my credit card bill paid off so I can start saving to buy something. I wonder if I routed my bill to Tim's if he would just pay it without noticing.
Is that the same as stealing? Do I need to draw up a proposal like Kat's Twin Sponsorship Program?
Probably too early to ask for a raise.
Well, I can't say that I'm feeling particularly underpaid anyway. I'm just trying to hold off on (any more) major renovations until I've paid down the debt I incurred with my year of part-time employment.
My mom has a washer/dryer combo where stuff gets washed, then gets dried IN THE SAME PLACE. I'm not talking stackables. It's also pretty small, so it won't take a big load, but it will fit almost anywhere.
She doesn't like it all that much because the dryer part really won't take big loads, and she doesn't like doing lots of little loads, but she says it does a fine job, and I can add that it's so quiet that she can have singalongs right next to the machine and folks can hardly tell it's running.
That said, I think it's European, and the money you save in remodeling would probably be eaten up by the machine itself, so nebbermind.
