I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?

What is even happening?

I shouldn't read things like that, early in the morning. Good on Simon and Caroline for putting a stop to it.

For people here who haven't had the pleasure of reading Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby, let me tell you, the draft chapters I got to read are terrific. You'll laugh. You'll cry. And when you come across a story where all the players are new to you, you may just shout, "No way!" which will soon turn to, "Yes! Yes! Yes." Then you'll start laughing, all over again. The book is worthy of its ever-so-delicious title.

What Allyson says at Whedonesque is probably the best way to describe it. This is a book you can give to your loved ones to explain, "This is why I love the people in the box on my desk."

That's what I plan on using it for! (And to read Allyson's delicious writing, of course...)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

So, just to clarify, Spike is not mentioned in the book, right?

Because Allyson is a h8r.

And a known hater, at that.

I didn't see what happened at 'esque, and I don't know that I'm up for craxy fandom today, but think about this, Allyson.... the complainers might just end up reading it too, to see what awful things you are clearly saying about Spikey-wikeyOMG!!1!one!, and that's more purchases/library requests!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Allyson! Book! EXCITING! stalkers not so fun.

Too early to articulate much. The Inside was not a show for me. Too dark...

But Drive or at least what I saw of the pilot is more my show. Cindy, it's fast. It's unexpected; characters did things that made me say, "huh. that's weird as shit, but I see where it might make sense to them." The characters are flawed and a little bit odd and broken, and fundamentally human. Granted pilots are all set up and there are several characters, but at the end, the last shot, I kept thinking, "Well, what happens next?" and that's a good sign for me.

Drive also felt like I was sitting in a videogame. At least that 4 minute part with the sprawly drive and zooming into cars. Disconcerting for me as I'm not a videogame kind of girl, but I could see where The Kids would dig it.

Yeah, people have to buy the books to burn them. It's a win/win!

Swouncing

This is a book you can give to your loved ones to explain, "This is why I love the people in the box on my desk."

I need to give this book to people in order to explain to them how come I'm so excited and happy regarding this book. By this person in the box on my desk.

Kat totally sold me on "Drive" with this, for the record.

Well, plus, there's an entire essay about you!

Hi, Nilly!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Well. That was odd.
