BOYS in our Drivers Ed classes.
There were definitely boys in my Driver's Ed class. I know, because I spent all of that semester flipping through Corvette magazines with one. And then, on the last day (I took Driver's Ed at the end of my senior year.) he called me out into the hallway and completely unexpectedly laid the biggest kiss ever on me. I never saw him again. Turned out later he did jail time for sleeping with a minor.
Kat, those are some lucky twins, to have a mama like you.
Congratulations, and may the rest of the pregnancy go smoothly.
Congrats, Kat. I'm a twin and it has almost always been a total joy having a wombmate.
Congrats, Kat and Lori. I'm delighted to read your family is growing.
Thanks everyone!
I went to an all girl school. A boy in the house was, like, NEWS.
I went to an all girls school that went co-ed my junior year. Those poor boys.
My school had NO driver's ed. We did have home ec though.
My mom made me learn to drive on a stick shift. I think I still could, even though I've driven nothing but automatics for years. Mom also insisted that I learn how to change my own oil and tires and such like. She'd had too many mechanics try to rip her off because they didn't expect a woman to know anything about cars. Little did they know, Mom was a former race car driver.
Kat, double squeee! Twins, how cool.
Okay, Zenkitty. That's so cool! What kind of cars did your mom race?
She'd had too many mechanics try to rip her off because they didn't expect a woman to know anything about cars.
My mom had the same thing, Zen. I even know how to wire up a dragging muffler now! (Very important skill when most of your driving is on gravel.)
When I was 16, one of my friends had to call me from the gas station because she didn't know how to fill the gas tank. I was, to say the least, boggled.
Little did they know, Mom was a former race car driver.
That's awesome.
I took driver's ed on an automatic (so I could pass the test!) but my parents had standards, so that's what I really learned to drive on. I don't drive at all now.
