There really isn't much to the story, other than what I said already.

I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I walked into my living room, where my roommate was entertaining some people she'd met somewhere, and there was the little person doing crunches.

I didn't say anything. I just stared at the strange scene for a minute or two. My roommate, who perhaps was a little...shall we say...HIGH at the moment, started laughing hysterically. I went to the bathroom and then back to bed.

I'm pretty sure I didn't even say anything.

ETA: I should point out that me waking up in the middle of the night to find odd people in my living room was not out of the ordinary. At least the little person wasn't naked.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kristen, did we share roommates?

I never found little people in my living room, but I did come home once to find that someone had basically given an open invite to everyone at a freakin' Phish concert to come back to our dorm after the show.

Leading to a visit with Housing, where we were lectured about not keeping bongs out where anyone could see them in the event of noise complaints.

What is even happening?

I was imagining a B&E. I'm sort of glad to know there was at least a roommate responsible. Sail had a weird instance last year, where a less-than-sober person let himself into her condo, and was convinced he was in his own.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And then there's Gus and his guest.

My former roommate is just an adorably free-spirited person. It's one of the things I love about her still. There were certainly many Odd Couple jokes made at our expense. But we didn't have a lot of problems.

I understood that she was an outgoing social butterfly. She understood that I was an anti-social workaholic. It was very live and let live in our house.

Ah! Mine were a bunch of very sweet, very cute, very social stoners with very little common sense.

I generally stayed in my room with my computer, coming out to drop the occasional couple of bucks in the Black Label fund.

Hey, maybe we did have the same roommate then! Or at least one of them.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I thought this was funny. The story is labeled as coming from southwest Louisiana, but I think it could translate to a "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" character for Drive.

The following post about the Cajun 12 Days of Christmas is pretty funny too.

Visilurking

Hey Kristen, I know it's weeks late, but congrats on the writing gig. (I just did my too-infrequent scan of the posts.) And regards to everyone, I miss you guys.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Good to see your font, Wolfram. Been missing you.
