Jayne: We was just about to spring into action, Captain. Complicated escape and rescue op. Wash: I was going to watch. It was very exciting.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Hec, you and JZ made it into the last thing I wrote:

One day while I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business, a very sweet physicist complimented me on the music streaming from my iTunes, and suggested a music book called Lost in the Grooves by (DavidS). I beamed, “(DavidS) and his wife (JZ) are my friends. I’ll tell him you suggested his book to me, he’ll be tickled.”

The physicist cocked his head and looked at the floor, brow furrowed. I got the impression that he thought I was lying. This happens to me fairly often.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, you and JZ made it into the last thing I wrote:

Awww, that rocks. Even more tickling than the unsolicited recommendation from a physicist. Which frankly, is pleasing.

I should send him Gary's song about Pi. It's way better than Kate Bush's song about Pi.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Hmmm...this is...odd.

FOX COUNTING DOWN TO '24' PIC
Hit series headed to the bigscreen

After years of speculation, the clock's officially ticking down toward a "24" feature film. Twentieth Century Fox has closed a deal with series creators Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow, as well as showrunner Howard Gordon, to bring the Kiefer Sutherland real-time thriller to the bigscreen.

Clearly, they're going to have to abandon the series format. Though marketing the worst 90 minutes of Jack Bauer's life could be funny.

ETA: After reading the rest, HA:

Current plan calls for the "24" feature to abandon the real-time conceit of the TV show, making Sutherland's Jack Bauer, rather than the clock, the star.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Though marketing the worst 90 minutes of Jack Bauer's life could be funny.

Aw, I would love this SO much. It's a shame they're not going in that direction.

Art Crawl!!!

It would be very very funny. Why won't they make that for us?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Why won't they make that for us?

Because it's kinda hard to top a day when he actually died? Although part of me think that's the best rest Jack's managed to get in the last 5 years.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I know people who thought The Sentinel was a 24 movie.

I don't think I'd be very interested in a movie that bails on the concept. No Tony & Michelle and no real-time? Eh.

I am still irrationally attached to my idea of how to promote new seasons of 24. 15 seconds of Jack brushing his teeth, eating cereal, pumping gas, grocery shopping, folding laundry, etc. There could be a whole series of them each ending with some ominous tag line.

Okay, this may just be my favorite idea EVAR.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I love that promotional idea SO MUCH.
