Strega, what do they sound like? Which albums are worth picking up?

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I am awful at describing music. Um. Guitar-heavy not-quite riot-grrl pop. With a fair amount of wit. If you have iTunes and can do the preview thing, they have an album there, "At The Club." That's all I know beyond what I read in Phonogram. Where they are as gods (perhaps literally), so that's why I had to check 'em out.
"In Your Car" and "Come Out 2 Nite" are, AFAIK, their big hits. Right now I am overly fond of "Classy" and "Spies." "Montrose Gimps It Up For Charity" is also amusing since it's a live recording and you can hear the lead singer (and the audience) giggling a lot.
The popishness means that on the first listen, I thought, "Yeah, that's okay" and I'd listen while doing other things, and then at work the next day I'd have one of their songs in my head for hours. Infectious.
"Come Out 2 Nite"
...aaaaand now I'm earwormed with "Hey, Deenie."
Well, it's less the show than the fannishness, to be ever-so-slightly-fair.
Oh, I knew that.
Hee. (My reaction was "HOLY MOTHERFUCKING FUCK FUCK BANANAS.")
See, I reserve that sort of reaction for news like Firefly somehow managing to be ressurected again.
I think he's an awesome person and actor, but him getting work seems more like something happening as it should, rather than a surprise. If that makes any sense.
ETA: Basically, my reaction is along the lines of "Of course Tim hired him. He's awesome and Tim knows it." Or something.
It's not a surprise, but it's a surprise because the thought had never occurred to me. If that makes any sense.
You should listen to Kenickie!
Their cover of "Save all your kisses for me" was sublime.
Things mostly just an auditioning actor like anybody else. Except he didn't audition for Voodoo Moon or The Crow 4 this year.
Yes. Thing. Somebody sign, already.
Anyway, I'll be glad when they're on a Tim project, because Tim projects don't tend to suck.
One thing I will say - didn't they have a talent deal with Fox for a comedy pilot? I presume that didn't get made? Or has Drive been rebranded a comedy show? I gotta have faith.
Well, I don't have a clue who it is being hinted about, so when Tim makes his big official announcement, I for one will be genuinely surprised. We'll have to wait to see if I'm pleased or not.
It's the man who played the japanase bloke in the Fruity Oaty Bar commercial playing the new lead in Drive, evil jimi. He was at Flan B. (No, really) (About the Flan B thing).
ETA: Also, the topic on Whedonesque about Tim being hawt is lovely.
