[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Oh, in Allyson's recap of the Expo, she forgot the part where we were compared to Trekkies.

I was in the ladies room, washing my hands, and some of the women (I assume they were also attending Tim's seminar) were talking about Firefly. One woman had never seen the show and the others were encouraging her to get the DVDs.

Woman A: "Plus you get to see the whole series. They only aired 4 or 5 on TV."

Me: "They aired nine."

Woman B: "Wow. This is like being at a Star Trek Convention!"

ETA: Have you been to Universal? You could easily hop on the red line from downtown and go up there. There's Universal Studios, CityWalk and the IMAX theater.

It's not that I'm the only one, it's that I'm the honest one.

I was called a walking-talking-IMDB when I told the people behind me that Alex was Ivan Sergei and said Ben Edlund wrote "Jaynestown". I now wear the title of a walking-talking-IMDB proudly.

And no one had heard of The Inside.

ETA: I did the City Walk last year but did not have time to do the studio bit at Universal. That sounds like Wednesday planned.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was that movie with Russell Crowe, right?

Or, wait, maybe that Spike Lee movie about the bank heist.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

The Serenity mule is parked at Universal. I'm not sure where, they moved it a few times.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

The Serenity mule is parked at Universal. I'm not sure where, they moved it a few times.

If you go on the tour, it is parked with the other movie cars. I went a few weeks ago with some people from work and I squeed when I saw it. I'm such a dweeb.

Yeah, yeah, Tim's all great and and smart and nice and everything, whatever! We already knew that. What about my smoker's report on the Marriott? Helloooo? I'm serious about buying you dinner!

Jeez, you act like this thread is all about Minear or something.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Well, Minear was smoking outside on the patio of our press suite when the Men's Health and Fitness lady came in to interview him.

I couldn't tell if people were smoking on the upper floor balconies.

Minear was smoking outside on the patio of our press suite when the Men's Health and Fitness lady came in to interview him.

That might be the best thing I've ever heard. Just because I imagine a conversation that goes, "How do you stay so fit?" "I chainsmoke! Next question?" And then Tim morphs into Hunter S. Thompson, which is disturbing on a number of levels. I think I need to sleep more.

Was the patio on the inner ring of the hotel? I was (randomly) guessing that the rooms on the outside of the building would be more smoke-tolerant than the ones that overlook the pool.
