I just noticed that both Allyson's neighbour and Allyson appear on the same page pimping Tim.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

That's the one, Cindy. The way you discovered each other still cracks me up. If there were three of you in one building though, I...well, I'd be afraid you were getting sucked into some vast fandom conspiracy.
Allyson, apropos of nothing, I was about a block away from your apartment yesterday (or so I was told). I waved.
Oh! And the story they broke was a Firefly focusing on Book.
Book was an Operative before the Battle of Serenity, the theme of the episode was faith. Mal and Book pass each other on a bridge before the battle. That's the battle in which Mal loses his faith, and Book finds his. I think.
And then there was a thing about everyone believing that Book kidnapped River, the twist being that River actually kidnapped Book, telling him that he's a threat to her family (Serenity's crew) and she has to kill him to save them. Then there's a test of faith of some sort, and then I started thinking about lunch so I forget what else happened.
Why do most fanfic ideas have to just complete wank (in the english sense of the word)? Tim should do, like, 12 of those expos a month, and fan fic would be 94% better in terms of ideas.
The expo was good - apart from having to pay a bunch of people who then spent an hour and a half plugging their books.
Tim gives good interview. Just finished transcribing it.
Was it nervous-making having a small (occassionally heckling) audience for the interview?
The small occasionally heckling audience, primitive voice recorder and the unexpected news from earlier that caught me off guard was all nerve-making. Was it very obvious?
Your hands were shaking. It was adorable, though. Plus! You got a great parting gift. I wish I had one of those.
You realize you're supposed to say "no, not at all, you were the very picture of calm and collected."
Anywho... I'm here for two more days and have done Downtown, Hollywood, Sunset, the Mojave... Any suggestions for where else to go?
