Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Sorry, it looks like I misinterpreted Fox's promo for Standoff.

They do that all the time over here. The promo is big and ominous and makes it sound like a series regular is about to head off for the Big Sleep but in the end it is a Redshirt who bites the big one.

Will Tim have lead-killing discretion based on the consulting producer title? I thought that sort of thing tended to be a showrunner (or network) decision...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I think, and could be totally wrong, that Tim has as much say in things as he would on Angel, if, say, he came back to the show after Jeff Bell became Executive Producer. He'd be a consulting producer. Like, he'd be Bell's peer, not so much a subordinate, but would defer to Jeff because A) it's polite, B) Jeff was a good man/boss/showrunner, and C) Tim's not a jerk.

Could be wrong about all of the above except B, and possibly C, because Tim forgot my birthday this year so he gets 10 points deducted from his rank on the Allyson's Favorite People List.

DUDE. SEND A FREAKIN CARD.

Where was I? Pulling thoughts out of my ass? Oh yeah. So, yes, even if he was an Executive Producer, my assumption is he'd have to get that approved by the studio since he'd essentially be firing a principal actor.

As usual, I'll defer to Tim about what his job is, because hell if I know.

What is even happening?

Your birthday's in March. Did he remember Kristen's birthday is the thing...you know, the thing that could get loudly announced on timminear.net.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

The Bay Area Science Fiction Association has the practice of celebrating one's birthday plus or minus six months. You can't miss it, you can't avoid it. Happy birthday, everyone. And that includes Allyson. :=)

Back from Hotlanta! Though, really, it was more like ColdAndRainyLanta. But now I am home. Tired, sore and sick from standing out in the bad weather but home!

Now, I am sipping a latte, smoking a cigarette and catching up on all that I've missed. I'm also looking forward to Sunday, when I will attend a convention that will not involve anyone asking me what bus they need to board or how long it will take to get to the airport.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Cindy!

ETA: Brian Bloom is on my TV (Cold Case) and is, disappointingly, not hot.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

How can Brian Bloom not be hot? Rhetorical. I don't want to know.

I like that plus/minus six months birthday thing, because I can barely remember my family's brithdays, much less anyone who isn't taping up signs reminding me of them. Christmas I can remember, but I tend to miss it anyway. I'd rather send my friends gifts randomly throughout the year. More of a surprise.

Don't watch Vampirella if you want to preserve blissful ignorance.
