[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Back from Hotlanta! Though, really, it was more like ColdAndRainyLanta. But now I am home. Tired, sore and sick from standing out in the bad weather but home!
Now, I am sipping a latte, smoking a cigarette and catching up on all that I've missed. I'm also looking forward to Sunday, when I will attend a convention that will not involve anyone asking me what bus they need to board or how long it will take to get to the airport.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Cindy!
ETA: Brian Bloom is on my TV (Cold Case) and is, disappointingly, not hot.
How can Brian Bloom not be hot? Rhetorical. I don't want to know.
I like that plus/minus six months birthday thing, because I can barely remember my family's brithdays, much less anyone who isn't taping up signs reminding me of them. Christmas I can remember, but I tend to miss it anyway. I'd rather send my friends gifts randomly throughout the year. More of a surprise.

Don't watch Vampirella if you want to preserve blissful ignorance.
I've avoided Vampirella so successfully thus far, I'd forgotten it existed until you said that.
How can Brian Bloom not be hot?
Two words: Brown. Contacts.
Also there was some unfortunate hair and an overall frumpy look.
Was this the most recent Cold Case, Kristen? I have it sitting on my TiVo, and now it seems so much less likely to get watched.
Oh, oh oh! I just realized that the Screenwriting Expo is at the Marriott. Someone needs to report on the smoking situation. We're particularly desperate to know if people can smoke on the balconies.
Yes, it was the most recent Cold Case. In the show's defense, they were trying to make him look like Robin Thomas ~20 years ago. But yeah. Not hot.
I have moved on to catching up on PR and damn you, Laura. You made me feel sorry for Jeffrey.
Also, Strega, can we just look up or do I need to be, like, interrogating people?
Yay, a spy! I'll have to buy you a meal, because this information will make me a hero to all the smokers on the project.
Interrogations are more fun, but if you see people out there that probably answers the question. Everything I've found just says that whether or not the balconies are smoke-free now is up to the individual hotel manager, so that's the part I'm most interested in getting intel about. I understand they've set up some sort of smoker's haven outside somewhere, but if people are supposed to trek downstairs and go outside at 10 PM, that'll be a pain.
