[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Art Crawl!!!

I know that there is such a thing as open tuning. . . and yet: still funny.

More fun from the roundtable:

MC: I disagree. Just like Runway, they are going to get even more talented and long-struggling artists to audition. Despite the cheese factor, the show is a huge platform to sell yourself.

HP: Wow, just wait till they get their Vincent (shudder).

DR: "This song just turns me on, ya know? When I sing it, it just gets me off. It's like an art-fashion-music explosion!" (Thank GOD he was finally booted off Runway last week!)

HP: Zayra already was the art-fashion-music explosion. She's probably the only person I've seen who could be on almost all of my favorite reality shows — Rock Star, Project Runway, and Top Model!

AK: If she happened to be on Survivor, she'd climb up a tree, incapacitate everyone with a spell, climb down, and claim her prize. For once, Jeff Probst would be humbled.

That's excellent, Monique. The site is beautiful, too. How'd it come about?

Aw, thanks. I must admit, I am pleased with it.

As for how it came about, Nick's former assistant is now Barbara's assistant.

What is even happening?

Hello, small world. It's truly amazing to me where being a onetime fan of a little TV show has led some people. I'll stop before I go all Dr. Seuss: Oh, the Places You'll Go!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

A bunch of former-girl band members should make their own band and the show could be called Rock Star: Bitches.

Oh, I know! VIXEN.

Tim news from The Hollywood Reporter:

"Standoff" is on the schedule for now, though Fox confirmed that production on the series was suspended this week in order to let the writers "catch up," according to a network spokesman.

The production hiatus also will allow Tim Minear, who has come aboard "Standoff" as a consulting producer, to get up to speed. Minear has been tapped to help with day-to-day operations on the show that will continue to be run by Craig Silverstein.

"Ten percent of nuthin' is...let me do the math here...nuthin' into nuthin'...carry the nuthin'..."

Hmm, does that mean Drive is dead in the water? Or is this just a stop-gap until it gets picked up? (fingers crossed)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm actually enjoying Standoff, but I would be interested to see what Tim could do with it. However, I hope Drive is still going to happen.

Art Crawl!!!

I haven't watched Standoff. I can't remember when it is on.

BTW, is this the Project Greenlight thread?

I read in this week's EW that Gulager's film has been released. It was released on the 22nd but only for about 3 weeks and then it's coming out on DVD.

Standoff's on Tuesdays at 9, after House.

I'm hoping that Tim's influence will make it a little more..... creepy.
