[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Tim news from The Hollywood Reporter:

"Standoff" is on the schedule for now, though Fox confirmed that production on the series was suspended this week in order to let the writers "catch up," according to a network spokesman.

The production hiatus also will allow Tim Minear, who has come aboard "Standoff" as a consulting producer, to get up to speed. Minear has been tapped to help with day-to-day operations on the show that will continue to be run by Craig Silverstein.

"Ten percent of nuthin' is...let me do the math here...nuthin' into nuthin'...carry the nuthin'..."

Hmm, does that mean Drive is dead in the water? Or is this just a stop-gap until it gets picked up? (fingers crossed)

What is even happening?

What Paul said.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm actually enjoying Standoff, but I would be interested to see what Tim could do with it. However, I hope Drive is still going to happen.

Art Crawl!!!

I haven't watched Standoff. I can't remember when it is on.

BTW, is this the Project Greenlight thread?

I read in this week's EW that Gulager's film has been released. It was released on the 22nd but only for about 3 weeks and then it's coming out on DVD.

Standoff's on Tuesdays at 9, after House.

I'm hoping that Tim's influence will make it a little more..... creepy.

Tuesdays at 9? Argh! That's the same time as Eureka! Well, not for much longer (but not in a bad way, no siree, just end of season for them, nothing more, nothing to see here, move along.)

Invisible Green - Sep 26, 2006 5:58:37 am PDT #1298 of 10001

Yes! Tim Minear is exactly what Standoff has been missing. BTW, Standoff only continues to be on Tuesdays at 9 this week, then it's going on hiatus for baseball, and when it returns, it'll be on Tuesdays at 8.

That's just as bad, that's opposite House. Grrrr. Why can't all the shows I want to watch pick the times I want to watch them? I'd get a TiVo if I could afford it; alas, I'm on a strict budget.

ETA: Wait a minute. Isn't Standoff on the same network as House? Where's House going? ::panic, panic, flail::

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Standoff needs to be taken out back and shot. I watched the first episode and was actually offended. Free the Tim Minear One!
