[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Kristen - that sounds interesting. Do they say when it's going to show up?

You haven't seen RS yet, have you?

I will post about it later.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

FINALLY caught RS again. It was elimination night, though. Must remember to watch on Wednesdays.

That said, I was sorry to see Storm go. I really liked her and her version of "Wish You Were Here". However, I think Dilana might have a really good chance of winning. I hope so. I'd like to see a woman win. Without having to compete on Rockstar: The Go-Go's

I was so sad to see Storm go. I'm totally going to order (What the Fuck is) Ladylike from CD Baby. I really don't think that they are going to choose Dilana. . . but given the general craptasticness of SuperWHATEVs, it doesn't really matter. I think that they're going to choose Toby or Lukas. . . and it really looks more like Toby to me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Huh. That's Storm from Storm and her Dirty Mouth. She was forever trying to break through in San Francisco and never could despite her obvious vocal talents and charisma. She was a barista at a cafe I used to frequent back in the early 90s. Sean Penn was a big fan of hers.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

YouTube clip of Storm doing What the Fuck is Ladylike? at a club. Uncensored, of course. Sound's not ideal, but good enough.

I wonder if it's the same clip as I saw before -- where the sound sucks.

The downside to hearing something live first and loving it is that, usually, the studio version isn't as good.
