I have NO idea how that happened. Actually, I do have an idea.
I owed them money. They lost track of me. I requested a transcript. They found me. They made me pay what I owed before releasing my transcript. BUT, I think they'd already written it off. So, when they switched computer systems, it showed as a credit. So, when they were cleaning up old credits a few weeks ago (according to the nice guy I just talked to), they sent out checks.
I am now only getting 2/3 of my salary! 2/3! Shut up, California! And...my higher tax bracket!

2/3rds salary would be nice. Then again, socialized medicine is a good trade off. However, the feds announced today that our surplus is $26-billion.
I am also funding some sort of SUI/SDI thing. I thought we killed Star Wars back in the eighties.

I have nothing of note to report, just waving as I linger here, undecided as to what to begin next in the exciting world of me. There was supposed to be lunch. Or a movie. But my date has gotten involved in building bookcases.
I like bookcases. Maybe I'd better go make lunch.

I'm kind of awake now. I'm also in the middle of doing at least 3 loads of laundry, and hoping that, by the time my stuff is done in the washer, nobody will have taken the bottom row of driers. (I can't reach the top ones in any safe way. If someone else starts using the bottom ones, I'll have to wait until they're done before I can put my stuff in the dryer.)
(Dryer? Drier? I clearly need caffeine.)
I stayed in bed reading'til the cat demanded out. I ate, and now I think I am going back intothe bed for more reading. are there things I need to do ? yes. do I care? not yet.
