Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I do the odd time changes all of the time. I had to look at the clock to figure out the time right now. And I am on board time so that's kinda sad.

Bed in just a few.

What is even happening?

I was taking three hours off of board time for you, but then noticed you posted near the change of the hour, and didn't stop to realize what hour, never mind that the mathing I actually need to do where board time is concerned is adding three hours for myself, not the other way around. Ugh.Lee.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Cindy, I do the same thing myself. Whenever I see vw posting at 3 or 4 in the morning I think to myself, "aw, the poor thing can't sleep." Then, I realize she's up at 6 or 7, which isn't really that unusual at all! Stoopit math.

move out and draw fire

I don't even bother trying to do the math anymore. My clock works like this: if vw and Cindy are posting, it's too early for the rest of the States, afternoon for me and Jars and Fay and Nilly, way too late for billytea, and WAY TOO FREAKING EARLY for the West Coasters, so if Cass is posting it's because she's not sleeping.

Mal seems to be fine. I of course am a wreck. I was even watching him and the time and didn't think he'd have any problem with the couple centimeters difference in elevation - he usually doesn't. Thank goodness for baby ibuprofen...I wasn't looking forward to attempting to hold medicinal peas to his face.

Oh, Raq. It gets better, or at least you'll get more used to it, because it happens so often. At one point in Chris's toddlerhood (starting around Mal's age, I'm pretty sure) he kept banging the same spot on his forehead, every time he fell. There was perpetual bump and bruise in the same spot. We used to joke that he had Angel forehead.

I'm ususally pretty good at remember who is in what time zone, but I just got all confused today. I even went an hour off in my estimate. I think I need donuts.

Pretty much. Cass is the wildcard (and when ND posted more, he was the other wildcard). I'm always amused that I can catch billytea and Nilly in what is one day for me, and two days for them.

That's a good plan. Meet you at Dunkin' in 20 minutes?

I DESPISE filling out forms. Actually, I'd enjoy it if they weren't always so damn important. As it is, I've got Financial Aid forms I need to fill out, and my Aid for next year depends on doing this right. Then, I have some Social Security paperwork to fill out, and my income depends on that. Ugh. No-fuck-it-up~ma requested, please.

I just spent more moneythan I have on summer tops. But I really, actually, honest to God needed them. And yet, guilt. Meh, the pretty new clothes will help me get over it.

I'd rather buy pretty clothes than fill out financial aid forms. I'd rather eat doughnuts and not have the results show in the way my clothes fit, than either.

QUESTION FOR THE HIVEMIND:

Does anyone know, or can anyone point me to a site (I can't think of good search terms, this morning) the typical spiel the flight attendants and Captain give, when a plane is taking off and landing? I'm noodling around with a story, and realized I haven't flown since November of 1994.

Ok. Financial Aid paperwork is filled out. I can drop that off on campus on Monday. I'll take the Social Security paperwork with me to quilt class this afternoon, and I'll fill it out while waiting for the train after class.

Now I should start on my Pre-Calc homework, but I don't feel like it.

Cindy, I'm googling, but not finding anything. I find that strange.
