Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Huh. Poking around CL for apartments in New York? About the same as LA.

Also, I am ignorant enough of New York that I didn't realize there was such a thing as "Alphabet City".

Librarian Warlord

I'm guessing that if she needs to rent out the cats' room, the whole cat nutritionist career isn't going so well for her.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Alphabet City".

Below 14th and Houston, the island is wide enough for extra avenues east of 1st, so they have letters instead of numbers. (Below Houston, there's no grid.)

Thanks, Tom. I love the satellite maps.

I want to live in New York. Silly MiL. Why couldn't the job offer had been there?

Most of Alphabet City is a long hike to any subway stop, and traditionally was one of the skankiest parts of Manhattan, although that has changed a lot in the last decade.

Because the publishing industry here has run out of money.

(Not that I'm bitter about it...it's not like E wants to get paid...)

Art Crawl!!!

You know 17 cats in a single family home -- of say 3 bedrooms would be ALOT of cats.

17 cats in an apartment?

No, I can't imagine.
