[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Hey Ginger. I've been worrying about you. I hope your new drugs kick that ick's ass.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So. Here's something.

It's been brought to my attention that it's going around the office that my minion's wife (as of last October) is seriously ill. As in, she's dying, and has at most a few years left.

This is completely insane (okay, she has recurring kidney stones). But seriously, I have no idea where that shit came from. But it's going around, and in the context of how amazing he is to have married her anyway.

[Pause while I try to tease apart the many levels on which this whole thing is totally fucking offensive. Fuck! None of you were holding your breath, were you?]

So, now what? We're a small company. It came to me as the person most likely in the know - but my source couldn't remember (!) who told her. (This is probably true - it's not something someone would have brought up with me except in very private - and liquid - circumstances, so she may have been hanging on to it for a while.) So, I've stomped it with that person, but it's not as if she even knows who to go back to with that.

He's - sensitive - and any hint of this will freak him right out. I'm spending a lot of time and energy finding ways for him to stay at this company at all, with all the crazy ass bullshit that goes on. And he's crazy defensive of his wife, T. [Not that she needs it, she rocks.] So, WTF? I sure as fuck don't want to bring this up with anyone, but I want to quash it before it gets to his ears.

Fucking twelve year olds. Why can't they just do their jobs and leave the drama to their personal lives?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Congrats, AmyLiz! My dear friend just had her second baby over the weekend and found out that he didn't have hemophilia like their first son does (there was a 50/50 chance he would), so that was a huge relief.

In meme news, I woke up feeling better until I got the email from my landlord about the most recent AC dilemma. I've ranted about it in LJ if anyone wants the details. I'm too emotionally exhausted to even sum up right now.

Oh, no, I don't even want to go look. How is this even something they're arguing??

It's no longer a matter of arguing about putting it in...it's WHERE they want to put it.

Think aesthetics vs. functionality.

Because books.

Kristin, I beta'd in LJ.

brenda, what the fuck?! So she's *not* really dying, but everyone is saying she is? God, I wouldn't even begin to know what to do with that, in terms of quashing the rumor. (Also, your Urban Dare thing sounds like so much fun!)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Commented over there, Kristin (although I don't think I had anything especially useful to say)

She's perfectly healthy - not like she's sick but not that sick, even. I can't imagine where this shit came from. (And the whole "what an amazing guy he is to marry her anyway "? puke.)

That is truly gross.

I'm so - I just don't even know what to do with this.

[On another matter - you have a Lucy, too?]
