Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I had a dream that I found a lost toddler on an elevator. He was an adorable Indian boy with huge brown eyes and a great big smile. Another woman on the elevator was trying to take him from me but I was worried she would keep him so I was very protective. When I got to the lobby with him, there was a huge search going on for him. Then I woke up. Now I want to interpret it...

Clearly, you want to adopt me.

Get in line, lady!

I think now we know who the other lady on the elevator is!!

tra la la three-day weekend out-of-town guests catchup

To sum up... {{{P-C}}}, Squeakaboo made me dead of teh cute, Mal + Squeak = OTCutenessP, and loving the voting sticker gag.

A friend of mine is pregnant, and will be induced on the 14th if she doesn't have the baby herself by then. She thought it would be cool to have the baby today, as it's the exact 100th anniversary of her grandpa's birthday. I made a comment that it's an odd day to have a baby, and her response was "We're Jewish, why the hell do we care?" So far, no sign of baby.

I had lots of friends in from out of town this weekend, and we had a good time, except my friend K (who lives here, and was helping me work out details of where everyone would be sleeping) decided to go with "I'm Intoxicated and Incredibly Selfish" on Friday and "I'm Bitchy To the Nth Power and Will Not Be Comforted" on Saturday. I'm also fairly certain she did some deeds with her not!boyfriend (another friend of ours) on my couch. Needless to say, she is ON THE LIST.

But we drank a lot, and that was fun.

On. The. List.

I'm getting the pig!

Hivemind question: I want to put together a little going away present for T before her move. I should have already done this, but I have been avoiding thinking about it. I don't want anything that will be difficult for her to pack. I have thought of a couple of little things, but I would be grateful to have some suggestions.

sj, maybe you can do a scrapbook filled with written memories and pictures of the two of you. That's if you still have time before she leaves. A scrapbook would be reasonably flat, so she shouldn't have too much trouble packing it. (Or you could type up an lj post describing Tal a bit and I might have more ideas.)

Only to realize that there's still a load in the washer that I didn't take care of. Back to the laundromat.

Ooops! I've done that before, though, vw. Don't be too hard on yourself.

I went into work today but I was sent home to recover a bit more. I thought for sure I'd feel as good as new today but I feel more like I've been hit by a truck.

She glowed in the dark?

It wouldn't surprise me if she did, let's just say.

Good procedure-ma to Suzi's mom.

Good for your work for sending you home, Nicole. Rest lots, and feel better.

She's making herself her own scrapbook, and she is much better at that kind of thing than I am. I gave her a jokey Rhode Island book yesterday. I am supposed to be getting her a webcam, but that is more so I can see the nephews, than a gift that is really for her. I don't know if I could manage a full lj post about her right now.

Thrive to spite them

I have a quick question about applying for jobs. Is it okay to apply for two different jobs at one business or should I just pick the job I think will be the best fit and apply for that?

Also, is there a good way to ask about a salary range before I apply, "competetive" is all that it says and I don't want to apply for something if the pay is too low.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

apply for both.

When they won't give a dollars range - they are probbably fairly flexible. But I would add a required salary range if there is a place for it .
