I know, I know. I'm so often off on my priorities. Must to be working on that.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Fay, I'm about halfway through Smoke and Mirrors and enjoying the book very much (I'd read the first one when it came out in paperback). And there's a third one coming out in hardback in the fall, I think. I do like Tanya Huff's writing - and it's always interesting to get the Canadian viewpoint.
Well, I believe that Gud's was a prior claimant to the title. At this stage, though, said baby is no longer a baby. So it's down to a mass Cuteness Smackdown between the other Buffista babies now, I guess.
Yep, the babies are kids now. Leif will turn 4 this week, he'll be getting a bike for his birthday.
Thanks for the luck, Fred Pete.
ION, I am seriosuly considering changing my tagline to sub out "FileMaker" for "South Dakota."
I have FileMaker Pro on this computer, and sometimes I accidentally click on it instead of Windows Explorer, and I get freaked out because I have no bloody clue how to use it and I fear that one day I might have to find out because why else would it be on the machine?

I am confused. I assume you're not talking about Neil Gaiman's short story collection of the same name, then? Because I just read that recently.
No, it's a novel, second in a series, by Tanya Huff.
Lily is too cute, and she obviously has all of the adults under her spell.
{{{vw}}} Feel better; sometimes missing class is unavoidable.
I should really get moving. We need to go to the bank and the market before heading down to Mom's for dinner with the family and T. Playing on the computer sounds like more fun though.
Buffistas babies kill me ded. I finally got to see the Mal pics, and OMIGOD SO CUTE and then there was the Lily whammy of OMIGOD BEAUTIFUL. Not a bad way to start a Monday at work, I'd say.
Unfortunately I have an icky personnel issue to deal with today that I've been putting off. The memo has to go to the University Librarian this week, so I'm determined to get it done today. I just gave myself a huge papercut printing out sections of the academic personnel manual that may or may not apply.
Fortunately, this evening I have a walk with my DH to look forward to. Every Monday night we walk together, and for the past 4-5 weeks we've been taking walks following old house tour routes from the Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association. While it would probably be more fun to go into all the houses, we're having a pretty good time poking our noses over the hedges of all the Bernard Maybeck and Julia Morgan houses.

Heh. it's a database. A database of dooooooom. Well, I like it better than MS Access, though THAT'S certainly a damning with faint praise.
The FM wonkiness has worked itself as mysteriously as it occurred. Seriously. A script that had NO BUSINESS not working properly, didn't, and I did the time tested "empty the trash for duplicates and close out of the program completely" thing and it worked again. Computers! They are not logical!

You put the "boo" in "boolean."
Just a quick update on our temp's sister (she of the car accident I wrote about last week). Sis is talking and being her "stubborn self", though she will be in the hospital for a while with a long spell of therapy post-discharge. Thanks for the ~ma. Powerful stuff, I tell ya.
My mom is back in the hospital - not sure if I mentioned that outside of lj. This is a planned admission while they take her off her cumadin so they can do a procedure for her blood clots. Instead of taking her boa this time, she took some plastic ivy to decorate her IV pole.
