Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
FTR, if I lived within an hour of you, I'd be on the road to your house by now, so that I could drag you to urgent care.
What Perkins said. Nicole, If you are not going tonight (which you really should if you are in that much pain), please go first thing tomorrow morning.
I suppose I don't need to nag Nicole twice.
Just chiming in to say kidney infections are very very serious.
Nicole - one more voice saying - doctor is good. I'd push for the Urgent Care place if I thought you would go.
After winning last weeks softball tournament, the girls were "one and done" this weekend. They were 1-3 for the weekend. They were playing up a level and while they didn't play bad, they weren't on top of their game either. So, we are home early.
Mom is in the hospital again. This was a planned admit and she is doing fine. They are taking her off her blood thinners so they can do a procedure mid-week.
Sunil - I wish I had wise words of wisdom, but others have beat me to the main points. Hang in there.
Would it be nagging to hope Nicole doesn't suffer serious medical consequences from waiting? Ah hell, I'm a noodge, why pretend otherwise now?
Hey, Hec. Feeling quite well, thanks. Not done with chemo, though. I finished the external radiation a week ago Friday, will be done with internal on 6/16, then I start my last four rounds of chemo - that'll take me through the end of August (they're scheduled three weeks apart). But, half way there and still piratey, you know?
And there will be a road trip somewhere come Fall. Yes, there will.
Happy baseballing today, but 5p on a Sunday? That's just not right.
Ouch, hope your week gets better, Suz.
Nicole, why do you think it's a kidney infection? Have you had one before?
I'm not disagreeing with the go-to-the-hospital chorus, but I don't think something like that would even occur to me if it were me in your sitch. I wouldn't have any better ideas, mind, I'm just curious how common something like this is.
ETA: Yay for half-way! (Also, when does PoTC open again?)
Nicole -- and I apologize if I skimmed and you already said this -- do you have a fever? (And don't EVEN tell me you don't own a thermometer....)
Except I parked the car last night.
So the question is: do YOU remember where you parked it?
Man, SF is *such* my ideal city, except the parking hassles are Dante's 7th ring o' hell.
Thanks Brenda - just the usual 1000 mph around here. While it was a bummer that the girls lost early today, it got us home early and I get to veg out some.
Nicole, as someone in your exact position last week with regard to all my invisible friends telling me to go to urgent care, I would say listen. There may be something about being in pain and alone that makes us not want to go, but I think I could have avoided 3 days off of work, one day at work with a foot the size of Texas, and a still swollen foot a week later, had I gotten immediate assistance.
So I would get immediaite assistance.
