[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I haven't, that's what I'm going to do after I go to Mom's. The event was in full swing when I left, but I did park near a few shops that were still open, so maybe someone took them in there.

In fact I'm heading over to Mom's right now to look at her place myself.

What is even happening?

I hope you find it. Don't forget to check the "I'd never have left it there" places, like the fridge, and under the bathroom sink, and kitchen cabinets.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

SA, I'm having trouble keeping you logged out of the board on my computer, so I just went in and changed your profile to "do not remember me" and then logged you out. I hope that works.

Someone make me do something useful. I need to be getting ready for Emily's party tomorrow (gotta make some cookies and do some picking up), but I just don't feel like moving. It's all dreary outside. I feel like crawling back into bed. And keep looking at fabric online. Silly me.

Thrive to spite them

I'm at Mom's. No purse. So we're heading off to the park.

But I leave you with pictures of my pin and the exploding robot painting.

I hope you find it somewhere, askye.

Meanwhile, I love both the painting and the pin. Very cool.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My sister had the most terrifying thing happen to her last night.

On the way home from the bar, she stopped to get gas at the gas station she always stops at. She filled up her car, helped a carload of men by giving them directions to get back on the freeway (they were on their way to Chicago), and went inside to use the restroom. There was a group of 5 guys, in their twenties, and very plainly NOT guys from her small, rural town. She smiled, as is her way, as she walked past and they started cat-calling at her. "Hey, baby. Hey, hot stuff. Where ya been all my life? Wanna come home with me?" Blah blah blah. The cashier guy that she knows was nowhere to be seen. She went into the restroom, locked the door. A few minutes after being in there, the guy that was talking shit out front started jiggling the handle, talking to her, "What'cha doing in there, pretty girl? The door's locked." The guy jiggling the handle yelled to someone, "Where's the key?" She froze. Just sat there on the toilet, silently. Eventually, he went away and she heard him go into the men's room. She got up, and opened the door. Outside the door were two of the men she had helped with directions. One of them being a very large man, big enough to play line backer, she said. He asked, "Jessica, you ok?" She smiled, said "Yes. I'm fine. Thank you." and hustled out to her car. The group of unpleasant guys didn't bother her. The remaining men that were with the large guy, were still in their car, but she said they looked very much on alert and ready to jump out if she needed help. She smiled at them, jumped in her car, and sped off.

Who knows what would have happened if those other guys hadn't been there.

I've told her that a) hold it til she gets home next time she needs to pee at 2:30 in the morning or use the restroom at the bar before she leaves, and to take her cell phone with her, even if she's just running in. Silly girl. She's also been ordered to get a large can of pepper spray for her keychain. I was so relieved she was alright.

She's also putting in a call to the station manager to find out where the fuck the attendant was. I mean, 2:30 in the morning? He still wasn't out there when she left.

What is even happening?

Oh, Aimee! How scary! Does she have a cell phone? Calling the cops would not have been an over-reaction.
