Hee! Joe and I have the same thing when he explains things to me that I already know, but he assumes I don't.
Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Any time I say Pete won't let me do something, it's pretty much for comedic effect.
I meant that!
and the me being cheerfully patient.
It's one of your best expessions. Perhaps because you've had practice.
And now you know that Pete and I have those sorts of conversations ALL THE TIME, with the him explaining and the me being cheerfully patient.
This really is, dare I say it, adorable.
Hee! Joe and I have the same thing when he explains things to me that I already know, but he assumes I don't.
I'm getting better.
Though it does backfire. I have, on at least one occasion, refrained from pedantic explanation only to look up a couple minutes later to face a very frustrated "And...?" expression on Aimee's face.
So ya never know.
I am not a patient person.

It is random.
As am I.
Here's a hint:
Pop culture - I'm mostly covered.
Science Fiction - I know some things, mostly unknown.
Quantum Physics - don't bother. I could give a shit.
Can I have an aardvark?
(Aardvarks are smaller and more readily wrangled than camels, MM)
I HATE MICROSOFT WORD AND WISH IT WOULD PERISH.
Ahem.
The preceding rant is in no way connected to any Buffistas who are presently or ever have or may in the future work for Microsoft.
YOUR ENDNOTES AND THEIR LINKY CRAP THAT CAN'T BE UNLINKED CAN BURN IN HELL!!!!
I don't really think so much of my wife not letting me do things as how much anger I'll have to face if I do something. Money isn't really an issue, but time is a big one. Right now I'm under time pressure at work which is making things pretty stressful. There was a lot of financial stress earlier this year, but that has been largely addressed. Well, gardening expenses have smashed the budget recently, but that's recoverable.
I do get annoyed when I get asked if I can handle taking care of the kids. I take care of the kids almost every evening after I get home from work, dinner, baths, bedtime stories, getting dressed for bed, the whole deal. On the weekends it's pretty normal for me to take care of the kids from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed. Taking care of the kids is no big deal for me.
And SO FREAKING CUTE!! [link]
