[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So cute, in fact, that even though Jilli won't see the image for several hours, the force of her future 'SQUEEing' is sending out ripples that can be detected in the present.

This is very true. What a cute bunny!

Aimée, go ahead and glare at me about the Fairy Gothmother site. I haven't managed to save up enough to get anything from them yet.

The newspaper thing sounds like it might be very good for you & Joe. But working at a start-up with family?

Bunnies!!

It is sunny and warm here. The tv says low 70s, but the tv lies. It has to be at least upper 70s. I went out the road for a hike with a friend. The trail was almost at the end of the road (we have about 40 miles of road here, end to end). It was beautiful, although we were completely overrun with mosquitos (this being Alaska, where the mosquito is the state bird, or should be). Also, we went too far and I fell, so am now sunburnt and sore head to toe. Hmm...this is making it sound not wonderful, but it really was pretty darn great, especially for the first hike of the summer.

On the way home, I saw what was, I think, the biggest black bear I've ever seen that wasn't stuffed. Most times, I've just seen them dash across the road, here and then gone. This guy just sauntered lazily across the road. Hey, it was hot! He started ambling in our direction, so we decided to roll up our windows, but he did go off the road before he got to us. I'm tickled to have seen him, and even more tickled that we didn't see him until after our hike.

Given recent conversations here and my all over body ache, I started thinking of how it might be nice to try fernet, but unfortunately I have not yet found it in town. Alas.

Hello? Anybody there?

Always Anti-fascist!

Apparently, y'all are not really my friends and if I moved closer to any of y'all, you would lose interest and leave me hanging. So saith my brother, Mr. Doesn't Get It'06. And to think we were all happy when he learned to speak!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Tell him that's just how his imaginary friends act, erika, and to stop projecting.

Sounds like he's an idjit to me, Erika. I only wish you were closer and I could meet you in person. Looking at any of the pictures you were in at f2f, I thought you were lovely and had gorgeous dresses. And I already know from here that you're interesting and kind.

I'm glad you know who you should pay attention to!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Libkitty, you're not making Alaska sound any less scary!

Bears in road = eep.

Erika, what ita said.

Good answer ita. He hangs out in a bar three nights a week. Seems a nice, friendly bar, but still. Think I'll get my social advice from somebody a little less pickled.

I've only seen a few bears. Moose are the scary ones, and they're not in Juneau.

I believe libkitty has the right of it. Your brother in an idjit, erika. I'm watching Pulp Fiction right now. You know that scene where Travolta has to stab that needle full of adreneline into Uma's chest? I think someone needs to do that to your brother, but without any adreneline in the syringe.
