Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
How did you get the working visa for Ireland and Britain?
As meara said above, it's through BUNAC (www.bunac.org), but for the visa I got, you must apply as a student graduated from college within six months of your graduation date, and it's only for college students in the States, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand. It's a pretty cool program, but also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Had brill cocktails today at The Orbit Room. Very unique and made 'specially for me and David.

Ah crap. He's finishing his Master's in Sheffield same as me. And he graduated from his undergrad about three years ago, I think.
Thanks for the info though. And meara too!
Your semester of eligibility can be part of a US university overseas program, e.g., a study abroad or internship program.
Although it does say this. And that he'd have to go home to the states and fly back to be eligible. Hm. I'll direct him to the website anyway.
Hil, I'm so glad you asked about Fernet. I kept meaning to google after reading the F2F thread.
Thanks for the links, beth.
Is it pronounced fer-nay? Does it taste like Moxie? Are all my poor F2Fers not really sick at all, but suffering from opiate withdrawal?
Are all my poor F2Fers not really sick at all, but suffering from opiate withdrawal?
Hmmmm...this would make some sense, since I haven't gotten sick. Interesting theory, Miss Cindy.
Not!Emily has himself and three very drunk people on the balcony. In his defense, he was VERY concerned that they had woken me up and making sure it was ok they were all still here. But, they are very loud and very drunk. One of them is talking about driving home. Eek! Much as I don't want them crashing here to sleep all day, I may have to step in and take away some keys.
I look forward to the day when Not!Emily is no longer a part of your life, vw.
And yes, that is an intersting theory, as I, too, did not partake of the Fernet
and
I have not contracted the F2F plague.
I look forward to the day when Not!Emily is no longer a part of your life, vw.
Oh, my! Me too. Thing is, he really isn't so bad. It could be much worse. I just only complain about him.
They are now all gone, and Not!Emily and his girlfriend are asleep in his room...probably for much of the day. I just feel badly for Emily, 'cause they were all hovering in the kitchen as she was showering and trying to get out the door to school.
Thing is, he really isn't so bad. It could be much worse. I just only complain about him.
Ah. Still, there are people I like well enough but could never live with because of the crazy-making, etc. I'm guessing this is one of those cases?
Yeah, pretty much. He's really a nice guy. And his girlfriend is a sweetheart. And Toto just loves them. So, that's something.
I just paid bills. There is something very satisfying in being able to be all adult and pay exactly what you're supposed to be paying and still have money left.
Then, you realize exactly *how much* money you have left to live on for the next month, and it's kind of panic-inducing to be a responsible adult.
Ah, the joys.
And Toto just loves them. So, that's something.
Unless they are slipping him bacon when you aren't looking, that means a heck of a lot, really. Yeah, Toto has his own priorities about people, and maybe doesn't really care who ends up cleaning the bathroom. But I would trust an animal's opinion about someone that don't belong to him over most humans' good judgement.
