I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sounds like the perfect choice!

And wear a sweater, for goodness sake.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Do you have on clean underwear?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The Stitch-ball is a brilliant idea. And if nothing else, you can do that in doctor's offices waiting rooms to get a little space.

I have yet to shower.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

VW, I can't add much to all the wise things everyone else said, but put me down for a GO YOU cheer.

Suzi, remember that you need to email me about stuff.

move out and draw fire

The StitchBall always works.

From my lofty perspective of wisdom, things turn out okay. That doesn't mean the struggles ever really stop, but the suckage/happiness ratio increases.

I'm feeling hugely guilty. The pede recommended that I use Benadryl on Mallory if he can't sleep on the 15-plus-hour flight to the States (or gets really hyper and out of control). She also suggested we test it on him first, as some kids have a paradoxical reaction and get ramped up. So we just tested it on him.

He's so stoned.

It seems to work great, but he's so clearly sedated and I feel so bad about doing it, with no reason other than scientific curiousity.

My cat, OTOH, has the paradoxical reaction to catnip. I freshened up his "boogie mat" and he's laying on it like a beached whale, eyes dilated. He looks like an opium eater. I keep expecting him to drawl "Bring me another brick, there's a good chap...I seem to have soiled myself."

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think Owen and I have been snubbed. I called a woman who I consider a pretty good friend to ask if she wanted to go to the park with us. Her husband answered and said they were going to another friend's house to meet and take all the kids to the zoo. He suggested I call her cell. So I called her cell. I told her that I was just calling to see if she and her son wanted to go to the park. She brushed me off with, "I'm going to K's house." No mention of the zoo. No invitation (even though she knows we're zoo members.)

I felt like I was back in high school. Only with a kid.

Raq, at least you know how it affects him. Enjoy his extra long nap or bedtime tonight.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I feel so bad about doing it, with no reason other than scientific curiousity.

Well, if he had turned greenish-purple and his head started to spin around, a plane half-way across the Atlantic would have been a bad place to discover this. Not that there's a good one. But closer to a hospital would probably be less bad. I think test-driving medically necessary drugs whenever possible makes perfect sense.
