I'm here, now that everyone's probably gone. I didn't buy anything, but went on a 2 hour cruise (in sunshine, no less), drank a bit of fine, local beer made especially for this day, and listened to some outstanding, live classical music while on the water, all in the company of a good friend that I haven't spent much time with recently. Then, another friend popped by unexpectedly for a five minute chat, and just left, about 2.5 hours later. All told, an outstanding day, even if I am not in SF.
Yeah on the good shopping!
Sorry, I got busy making another cat sweater. All I gotta say is, Harvey better wear this one.
SA, I read about you graduating (so exciting!), but just now saw your Beep Me post. That is so beautiful. I don't think I've been one of those especially supportive folks, but I know just how you feel. You put it so well. Maybe it's the college education or maybe it's your inate talent, but now I'm getting verklempt.
Also, I think I will no longer be able to think of you as either your full name or SA. You will always be Batman to me.
Hooray for a lovely day, Libkitty!
Cereal:
Andi, I'm so impressed with you knitting. I have two projects I should be working on, but it's almost impossible for me to knit in the summer.
Thanks, Robin. It really has been much nicer than I even anticipated.
I worked on my writing, then to the gym, and then out with friends to dinner and a movie (
iArt School Confidential).
Sadly, the dinner did not agree with my intestinal tract in a rather, uh, decisive way, so the end of the day was less pleasant than beginning. On the upside--tomorrow we are going to an outlet mall! to buy clothes! New clothes! The BF is one of those dudes who likes shopping and I foresee an EXCELLENT day.
I hope you're tummy's feeling much better tomorrow and that you get some good finds.
Congrats, SA!
Hope you are feeling completely better quickly, Robin.
libkitty, this was crocheting in anger. I was mad about something that happened (a rug I HAD been working on got cat-puke on it, and fell apart in the washing machine). So I took the remnant of a scarf I had been working on, and started stitching it together to make a Harvey a sweater. Yes, he wants to mess with my craft stuff, I'll give him craft stuff, alright. I suspect this will eventually lead to me chasing him around the house, trying to put the sweater on him for the fifth time in a day.
Oh, my. I hope that the piecing was therapeutic and that he looks cute in the sweater. Most of all, I hope for pictures!
