Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Congrats to Debet and SA!

I'd suggest a lot of sitting around.... and there's this thing I've heard rumors about... they call it "television"...

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

heh. With a friend I watched about five episodes of supernatural last night, which was lots of fun.

There's some stuff left to pack, and I could get my suitcase in line, but as it is, I think I'm going to take a nap.

We did mucho garage saling earlier, then came home for to grill pork chops (Dan) and to rake the back yard in prep to do yet more lawn mowing (me). I think we bought few books and a goober glob.

For the curious, a goober glob is apparently a modified hay stack - chow mein noodles and colored marshmallows covered in semi-sweet chocolate chips melted together with marshmallow sauce.

And a hinge. Daniel wanted a hinge, and since he passed up without fuss the big tv that was in a free pile, I thought the hinge would be a suitable treat.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I am making myself feel better about the raging jealousy towards everyone heading F2Fwards by taking tomorrow off from all work, watching rugby, getting drunk then watching the Eurovision song contest and getting drunker.

I am apparently Jars, except no rugby and I'm not sure what Eurovision is. But I'm right there with the jealously. Actually, I think I am every buffista who doesn't get to go to f2f, although I've added a bit of annoyance at my niece, who futzed with her wedding date at the last minute, making it so that I could neither go to f2f nor the wedding. Not that I'm bitter. Seriously. I'm thisclose to being past the bitter.

Anyway, we're all home crying in our beer. But at least I discovered this yummy lambic beer to cry into. I think I shall buy some today. And then I may stop my whining, 'cause it is seriously unattractive and I really am very happy for the rest of you, and looking forward to fantabulous pics!

I have had no luck whatsoever with training cats (even so much as "if you want me to put you on the loft bed, you have to come over here so I can pick you up. No, dammit, don't meow like that and then run away when I come over!").

I'll have to settle for meowing back like a lunatic, then. Seriously, it seems to be the only thing that will make them shut up. I can't decide if they think to themselves: "Do we sound like that ? We'd better shut up then." or "Oh no, she's finally gone round the deep end. We'd better take pity."

On re-reading this, I can see that posting after finally getting enough sleep is just as bad as posting drunk. Who knew?!

eta: Yeah, Daniel, for the self-control and for the hinge!!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yay SA!

Also in the "jealous of people at the F2F" corner.

Tonight, I've got the very exciting plans of sitting around and watching TV. Maybe reading a book or knitting something, or possibly doing laundry.

Also, the past three nights, I've dreamt that I was pregnant. It's getting a little disturbing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I got an interesting phone call from a former co-worker this evening. Looks like I could be looking at a work from home situation that will provide me with some extra cash. I'm excited about it because it's something I know I could do and should pay pretty well. I'm meeting over lunch with the president of the company this Wednesday.

Ah, the F2F quietude. Bronzers used to hold a Sour Grapes Party on the board when the big posting board party occurred. I'm not so much sour grapes as waiting with baited breath the details of F2F hijinx along with picture foaminess.

Besides, it's just me and the Doctor tonight, babeeee.

All is well that ends in pizza.

And a hinge. Daniel wanted a hinge, and since he passed up without fuss the big tv that was in a free pile, I thought the hinge would be a suitable treat.

And a shovel. Don't forget the shovel.
