You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Grumpy about mother's day. I'm not hanging out with mom this weekend, and I feel pretty shitty about it. I advanced the idea about doing a makeup mother's day, but I think my mom thinks I suck for that, and has been very evasive about a date to do it.
Oh, that reminds me. Must call stepmom and have her evade my call. Maybe they are doing lunch or something and I can leave a message.

Then call Mom of Cass and wish her a fab Mother's Day as well.

Dr. Lakoff would be proud of me though as I called the "reproductive-health clinic" but possibly jerkoff knows it better as "the baby-killers on seventh Street"
I used to volunteer there a bit. I was at the Tempe location more but they weren't "surgical."

Yep, got the machine.

Who's got kittens on how long before she actually picks up a call from me? There's kibble to to made here...

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, and Fay, don't forget to bring your Pooh books

blinks

...I never claimed to have Pooh books. I mean, obviously I do have them, but they're back in the Britain. Indeed, I have been ruthlessly selling all the books I've bought over the past 3 years, and the bookcase, in preparation for leaving the Egypt.

Um.

Sorry about that. I could buy one in SF, though, I'm sure. Or possibly somebody would let me share? Or, you know, I'm good with being in the audience too. My self indulgence egotism pushiness only extended to nominating myself for The Wolves in the Walls, 'cause I know I have that. (And The Day I swapped my Dad for Two Goldfish. ) Although I'd thoroughly enjoy chipping in on the Pooh thing, obviously, because, well, Pooh. But I never claimed to be all prepared and stuff.

looks sorrowful

ion, OMG I have an appalling quantity of stuff that I want to bring. I've been making lists. Today I obtained a new sheesha pipe and my flatmate taught me how to make sheesha (she always does it, so I've been lazily relying on her). I now have a big honking bag full of sheesha things as one of my handluggage things. And I'm going to need a huge big bag full of stuff for handluggage, because I'm travelling for 18 hours, or something stupid. And my laptop. And I daren't pack my newest, most fragile handbag, because it'll get broken if I put it in the case, I know it will...but I can't stand the thought of not bringing it, because I love it lots and lots, and it goes with my 2nd favourite shiny scarf. Um. And I've got to fit all the clothes I want to bring, and 6 handbags (unless I'm really ruthless, but I can't leave behind Nathan The Frog Handbag, even though he's cumbersome, because he's adorable, and he goes with the Today I Am Dressed As A Lily Pond ensemble, and the other ones are all fairly compact, honestly, no, really they are...)

Our wings are not tired.

I called Mom because I am too crazed this weekend to go see her. She was at my sister's house and step-dad sent me a picture of her today. [link] Yeah, pretty much what I will look like at 85. He also sent me a picture of a statue I gave her church about 20 years ago. [link] They put it on the altar every Mother's Day because that's the day they have First Communion. It pleases her so much each year it was well worth the $ spent.

That is a most unique and interesting dress Perkins.

Glad to hear the party was grand Beth. Worth the tired.

This will make for some interesting F2F photos. Hopefully no issues at the airport!

Mostly lurking...

So, dinner was lovely. I managed to get enough drippings for eight of my twelve individual Yorkshire Puddings. All was not lost. And roast was surprisingly rare, even though I roasted it at too high of a temperature. Mom had a lovely afternoon.

I, on the other hand, am completely stressed out. The presentation went ok, but they're asking for an awful lot from me to make this happen. Gotta figure out some things before I try to go back and re-negotiate.

I'm getting the pig!

Who's got kittens on how long before she actually picks up a call from me?

I'll say one and a half to two weeks after you get back from SF.

Went to see the Aunts and drop off Mother's Day cards for them. They failed to let me know that we were BBQing today. Felt badly for only bringing cards to a BBQ but they didn't mind.

Now I have movies and leftovers and absolutely no time to watch movies or eat leftovers because I have to clean my pit of a house, do laundry, re-touch hair color and then head to a friend's house for dinner. Busy, busy.

eta: Glad dinner went well, vw!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom is talking with the neighbor (our condo neighbor, we share the house with them, basically) about the flooding. It is CRAZY how much water we are getting streaming onto our basement right now.

I don't know that there's anything to do about it though.

Rare roasts can be had from high temps cause the outside gets done faster. Mmmmm, rare roasts...
Mom had a lovely afternoon.
Yay! Congratulations on a fabulous day, bug.

I'll say one and a half to two weeks after you get back from SF.
That will be at least six weeks silence from her. Like a passive-agressive groundhog, she is.
