You're right. You're supposed to add 5 inches for band size, or that is how VS teaches it.

They are seriously the awesomist bra shop ever. When I went there to buy a strapless bra, they had me try on about a zillion different ones, then finally figured out that the one that would fit me was up two cup sizes and down one band size from my normal bra size, and then altered to make the band about an inch and a half shorter. (Just going to a smaller band size didn't work -- the proportions were off, or something.) I've gone there a bunch of times with "I have this dress. I need a bra to wear under it," and they've always had something.

Can I pimp a friend's work? She and I have this affectionate little catch-phrase that came out a conversation earlier in this year: boyousity stupidance. She defines it as "the repetitive and chronic display of counter-intelligent and/or counter-intuitive acts by a person in possession of less than two 'x' chromosomes" and made a little graphic that makes me laugh Every.
