Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I can't walk in anything that is even a little bit a heel because of my braces, so I am stuck being my height.

This statement doesn't even parse in my 2-stepstools, plus a long-handled grabby thing in the kitchen world.

I totally need a long-handled grabby thing, because I can't really be trusted on stepstools and such. Where do you get one?

Our wings are not tired.

I never think of you as that wee, Kristin.

I have to find my picture of Brendon with Hil and Kristin. They did look wee next to the big guy. Then again so does my 6'2" son.

I wore high heels long ago with ease. Now I can only deal with a couple inches. I'm trying to work my way back up again since my family is getting so much taller than me. Lately it seems all the long pants are for people much taller than my 5'5". Can't wear them without either hemming or heels.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

OMG, yes. The only jeans I have found that aren't too long are from the boys' department. Useful, but not nearly so nice as my "My, doesn't my ass look nice" jeans. t kicks fashion industry

sj, try here.

Heels - I can do high and spiky but not high and platform, for some reason.

Thanks, Nicole!

I don't know if I should be mad at the DVR or the Bravo network, but after spending all day today avoiding be spoiled for Top Chef I got spoiled for the result as soon as I hit play tonight. I taped the 11pm showing last night because I was taping something else at 10pm. When I hit play I caught the end of the 10 pm showing with the person who got kicked off saying their good-byes. t /first world problems

I ordered these to go with my prom dress. We'll see how well I'll be able to walk in them when they get here.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I have to find my picture of Brendon with Hil and Kristin. They did look wee next to the big guy. Then again so does my 6'2" son.

I noticed on the online dating sites that many women are after tall men, it's a common stipulation. The Wallybee also also mentioned it on her profile, but fortunately it seems she is willing to accept weight as a reasonable substitute for height.

My DH is 35 today. I am trying to convince him (and, apparently Perkins) that we are actually both 36.2083 because as a married couple, our ages are averaged. He thinks I am trying to make myself younger, but really, I'm just trying to bring us closer together.

My parents' ages were two months apart. For those two months, M would rib D about cradle snatching. (She didn't watch Futurama, of course. "Some people say I'm robbing the cradle. I say she's robbing the grave!")

If I could, I would go to London, hit M&S, buy bras and then come home. What's the conversion on bra sizes? I'm a 38DD US, so that would be, what in the UK? 68 1/4 VN, or summat?

See, in UK measurements, that would be what is known as a 'Blimey!' The Australian measurements would convert it to somewhere between 'Crikey!" and "Daynjah Daynjah Daynjah!"

I think I was more wee before I started eating Mexican food all of the time.

Set yourself small goals, like 'stop eating Mexican food while teaching' and 'put the fork down while brushing'.
