Just got back from the doctor. I had a tetanus shot and x-rays. The x-rays did not reveal a shard of glass. However, I do have a lovely bonespur in my heel.
I got a referral to a surgeon. My doctor would like the surgeon to see if there is an actual tiny piece of glass in my heel. (Clearly there is something -- it is very sensitive to pressure and it looks like there is blood under the skin.)
I get to take statistics! Yay?
I'll light a candle for you. Good luck. (Sounding a little bitter, do I? Worked my ass off for a C last semester - so the good luck wishing is sincere, not smartass).
Sounds cute sj!
edited because "wishing" is sincere, "wising" just sounds smartass.
Also - heel-ma for sumi. I'm glad you're getting it taken care of - it sounds very not-fun.
Ouch! Gentle healing~heel~ma.

ouch! I've had bone spurs and they can be really painful. They CAN be treated without surgery if you catch them in time. Good luck for happy hea/eling!
Thanks, sj.
I go to see the surgeon next Thursday -- I have received no instructions about what I should or shouldn't be doing 'til then.
Well, they aren't treating the bonespur -- we're just now aware that I have it. (It just figures -- my feet are a mess.)

Underwear update:
was
pink lace bra spangled with rhinestones & more-coordinating-than-matching pink cotton knickers. Presently sans underwear, as fresh from bath, but my nightie/galibeya is FABULOUS, dahling. Shocking pink Egyptian cotton embroidered with gold. Love it.
