Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I think that sounds like a good plan, Suzi. I think I may take a nap myself.
Sorry about the car troubles, Nicole.
{{Nicole}} Car troubles suck, I hope you can get it fixed for not too much cash. Ugh. Nap well.
Eh, the car troubles have been ongoing for a while now. Not weepy causing. Sorry if I mis-communicated. Car troubles can be fixed with cash, if I had any, which I don't, but at least they're fixable.
It's all the other life stuff that can't be fixed by cash.
Thanks for the brackets, though.
Leaky radiators can sometimes be fixed with ground black pepper and egg.
I hope the life stuff gets better soon, Nicole.
Leaky radiators can sometimes be fixed with ground black pepper and egg.So can breakfast.

Seems like there's a lot of that going around. Too bad we don't have a decongestant for life, less stuff would be good.
Just coarse ground black pepper is a staple for old timers in plugging radiators, the bits find the holes and plug them up.
Don't think I've ever used egg.
meara, d you mind all the travelling you do?
In general? I love it. On occasion, yes, it definitely gets to be a pain--it's very hard to strike a good balance of "enough travel that I'm out of the office and enjoying that" and "enough home that I have time to do shit and see people and live in my city". But I like getting to visit other places, and see my friends in far-flung cities (on someone else's dime) and stay in hotels and eat yummy dinners...etc, etc. I think, however, that if I did not have the internet, it would suck a lot. Thankfully, most hotels have high speed nowadays. Plus of course, there's the bennies of the travel funding (via FFmiles) more travel! But basically, yes, the travel is a big part of why I like this job--but there are other positions with the same/similar titles, which are ALL travel (or 80-90%--travelling 4/5 or 9/10 days, then doing reports at home one day) which I would NOT want.
So did anyone else watch Grey's Anatomy and go "Hey! That woman is wearing VW's turban!"?
