Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay, Nora! Have a fun weekend!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Dude, I was so wondering what I should do for Mom... figured, should be something special especially since she just got out from under the thumb of the nasty, icky second husband. Professional tooth whitening! Yes, so she can confidently navigate the tricky waters of the single-and-sexy-impoverished-retirees social scene.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I had a cat with spring pollen allergies. It was an unfortunate example of "like owner, like pet." Cortisone shots really helped her, but I don't think dogs tolerate cortisone as well as cats.
Yeah. He's been getting lots of allergy pills lately, due to his weezing. Poor guy.

FWIW, Lucy tolerated cortisone shots without issue. She also has a spray I use - her seasonal allergies manifest more in skin rashes than breathing issues.

Brendon! I'll keep looking over the heads of crowds this weekend, for sure. And wouldn't you know, yesterday was about the worst traffic I've seen outside of snowstorms, so I hope he's not still on the freeway.

I can't even.

I never know what to get her for Mother's Day.

GAH!

Oh. The crap was scared out of me there, until I checked the calendar and realized I have two more weeks. My mum will actually be in town next week, so maybe I can do a dinner or something, since I will be in Scotland on the actual date.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Morning. Or Timelies, I should say.

Don't wanna be at work. Though, I should confess I just printed about a ream of school documents so far this morning and little else. AND work is providing breakfast of some sort soon.

My arm is tender, from yesterday's IV, and I keep bumping it. This makes everything harder than it should be.

When might American Mother's Day be?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Jars, it's the second Sunday in May. Not sure why that day was picked.

I should make a to-do list.

I don't wanna.

Call it a "don't wanna do" list, vw. I know my "to do" and "don't wanna do" list would almost be the same.

We're interviewing today (again). The Big Boss has already determined that she likes her, so I suspect she'll get an offer unless she insults someone whose opinion matters (not me). This makes me grouchy because the interview part of the day will eat up time I'd like to be using to finish an actual project that I couldn't finish yesterday because one of my cow-irkers went on vacation without arranging for coverage -- which somehow meant all of his desk hours fell to me.

I'm hoping that next week I'll be back on a schedule that allows me some time to hang out here.

I can't move. Toto is all curled up and sleeping on the pillow next to me. If I moved, well, I'd wake him. Can't have that.
