No! Nora! Come entertain me so I don't have to clean the kitchen!

I think I was a sleepy girl. I decided to go back to bed after getting Emily out the door this morning. I just got up. Craziness!

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Man, some JACKHOLE stole my lunch from the refrigerator. (To clarify -- I keep one of those large gladware-type containers of deli turkey, a package of swiss cheese [sorry, Perkins] [not really], and tortillas in the fridge all week, and I make a wrap sandwich for lunch every day.)

I know it was there around 3 or 3:30 yesterday, because I ate lunch really late yesterday. This morning when I went to put my yogurt in there, I noticed my turkey and cheese were gone.

I'm actually thinking that it was the cleaning people, or someone else who was in here after 5:00, because, like I said, it was still there close to the end of the day, which would mean my co-workers left it alone. Plus, we're a small office -- if you steal people's food, it's going to become a Thing really quickly.

So. I am lunch-less. Jackhole. I hope they got food poisoning. Or intestinal blockage.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sucks, Steph. I'm sorry. We had a cleaning person stealing food from people's desks in my office once. It's really annoying.

Oh, Steph, that really sucks. I'm so sorry.

My Toto is Mr. Sleepy this morning. He just got up. Silly.

I can't even.

That's the spirit. We had an intern post his rage to the entire division when our lunchroom thief stole his packet of ham slices. Our thief has been working for years (goes through desks and purses too). A couple of my colleagues have narrowed it down to one of the other women. Their working theory is that she only does it when she's under stress and may not be 100% aware of her behaviour. Weird.

So, Miss Emily turns in her big portfolio tonight. I'm gonna be out when she gets home. What do we think about me making some of her favorite cookies to be here to congratulate her when she gets home?

Ann, that's a ferret.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That sounds very nice, vw.

Sorry, about the sandwich, Teppy. I think you should put something nasty in a sandwich in the fridge to be sure that they get sick next time.

Always Anti-fascist!

It's Captain Gaffney. No, wait, that was *Homicide's* lunch bandit. And a very worthy candidate for intestinal blockage, imo.

I e-mailed the whole office, and 2 of my co-workers have immediately started mocking me via Reply All. They are jackholes of a different stripe -- not food-stealing jackholes; just general jackholes.
