Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

msbelle, the Israeli weekend starts a day earlier this week, because of a holiday (Shavuot - and a happy holiday to all who celebrate it!). I think it means you deserve a day off on Friday, or something.

Oh, and I just got a pink curtain to out living room! Well, I got two, one dark blue (like the color of some throw-pillows we have lying around there) and a second one which is pink (the slipcovers on the sofas and bed-disguising-as-sofa are very dark red, and I wanted the second curtain to be of a bright color, so that the room wouldn't be gloomy). You may now be proud of me.

I am always proud of you. Just because you are you.

Unfortunately I do not think I will get Friday off, since we already had Monday off. My guess is that Friday will be very relaxed though.

Well, right back atcha.

My guess is that Friday will be very relaxed though.

Then they should at least provide you with come cheesecake (um, if you like that sort of food). This holiday is unique in terms of food (and, yup, all Jewish holidays have something or other to do with foods) in that it's customary (though not a rule) to eat dairy products and dairy-based foods on it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Spidra, I am currently running a Bart and Lisa Simpson style Roomba-acquisition campaign aimed at TomW. It goes like this:

Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? Can I have a Roomba? 'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ah, then it's sort of the anti-Theo holiday.

I cleaned up all the areas that the plumber was going to see this morning (including clearing a path to the outside door of the cellar) only to get a phone call that he's had an emergency and will have to reschedule for tomorrow, instead. Feh.

Well, at least they're ready for his visit now.

note to self: to give roommate written set of instructions for him, because the last time she dealt with him, she neglected to point out that the shower had developed a dripping problem despite the fact that he was working on the shower. Do not discount the fact that she can overlook, like, the most essential details when dealing with stuff.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yay Spidra! I lurve my Roomba. And I think Nora should have one - you can tell Tom I said so.

Well, no, because you don't have to do it.

My family comes from a non-dairy cooking tradition, so we practically never do. And even when my mom attempts to try and have something new on the menu, and makes a cheese cake for dessert for this holiday, we have to eat it before the actual (meat containing) meal, due to the kosher rules.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'd like a roomba, but I'm pretty sure that Ozzie would try to eat it.

Also, why am I awake?
