Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Tom, did you already cancel your ATM card?

Yes. I have to show up in person to get the new one activated

Was that the only card you lost?

It was my debit card--the only one I had.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have just never lost one card, I've always lost my whole wallet (thus ATM card and credit cards and IDs) or my whole purse (same thing).

I, quite stupidly, left the card in the ATM.

ah, we all forget things sometimes. I do not enjoy reading you call yourself or your actions stupid. The inconvenience sucks. I thik someone should take you to lunch. Were you closer, I would treat you to BK.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those puppies are ridiculous!

That's annoying to have to deal with, Tom.

Good luck with the study, tom! You know I love nothing more than a study.

Oh, and these Toms remind me of an ad that makes me laugh, and also think of bon bon and Bob Bob. It's for an after-market car GPS thing, I guess? The ad is a couple in a car, and the guy keeps saying, "Sue Sue, where do I turn? Sue Sue, where should we go now?" etc. The voiceover says, "Don't ask Sue Sue, ask Tom Tom," which is the name of the product. Amusing to me, anyway.

Glad you're going to the doctor, Sophia.

msbelle, sounds like you've already gotten your day's worth of work done.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

"Vampire" to Protest White Castle's Garlic Sandwich.

And to think, I could have been there in person...

Just got back from the bank. I got my new card activated, and I found out that nobody used my old card between the time I lost it, and when I cancelled it. Yay!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yay! Scola is monied again!

Yay! msbelle's on a rampaging good mood.

Yay! Sophia is going to the doctor and then going home to rest.

I'm really sorry about your cat's freakout, Sophia.

We spent the weekend in Sacramento at Emmett's baseball tournament. He played his best baseball of the year: drilled a ground rule double, crushed a triple in the gap (that he went home on with an overthrow), made several brilliant plays in the field including ending inning catches in center, and throwing out a runner at the plate on a relay play, plus he pitched well - striking out the side to start off our first game.

We stayed with the best man from my wedding, Alex, his gf Kris and their daughter India. Emmett spent a lot of time playing with India, shooting at us with Nerf darts and swimming in the pool at a cookout we attended. We also got to see JZ's cousin Gia, and her daughter Nicole (the rather goth Michael Jackson impersonator). Despite their age difference (she's 18) Emmett and Nicole have totally bonded over their love of Tombstone and Invader Zim. We're going to have her come in and spend a weekend with us this summer.

hip deep in pie

Yay!

I, quite stupidly, left the card in the ATM.

This happened to me in Vancouver once. The person that next used the bank machine, took it home and tracked me down and called me. I did have to travel across the entire city to get it, and then endure a lecture about being more responsible with my bank card, but I guess it was nice of them.
