It didn't make sense to me to plug up the serotonin reuptake spots if your body just adjusts to that.

From what I've heard, that can be a problem with just about any AD. I've had to have my doctor increase my Celexa over the past few months, so I'm kind of worried about that, too.

As far as I know, I'm not bipolar, I'm just perimenopausal, which is close enough! You would not believe the mood swings that you can go through. Ugh. My doctor doesn't prescribe HRT, so she put me on ADs instead. I still have hot flashes and stuff, but not the mood swings and I can actually sleep at night, so I'm a very happy camper.

Art Crawl!!!

Those Pirates of the Caribbean M&Ms sound irrisistible. There was a coming soon type sign up at my local Walgreens for White Choco Pearl M&Ms that were PotC related.

The DVR is returned. For Basic Cable I do not need a cable box or special remote, so one of the upside of teh downgrade is less clutter in the house. WHEE!

While out, I had dim sum with friends which was really nice, then did some shopping. I got a new pair of dressy open toed balck shoes, a navy and bright green sundress, a green tee, a brown print skirt, an olive green long linen skirt, and a print wrap top. I am so into green right now, orange too, but could not find clothes in the right orange.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Home again, home again...

Sophia, I hope you're taking care of your wounds, and sorry about the trauma in general.

Congrats on the house, amych!!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I sympathize with the perimenopausal. I'm going through that, too. Again, no bad behavior with highs. Few highs at all. But the lows were horrible. The hormonal imbalance was taking my existing depression and worsening it as well as making me more angry and impulsive. My nurse practitioner put me on GABA and herbal PMS supplements, which helped a lot. I've only taken Celexa for 6 months now so I haven't noticed habituation yet. Nothing like Effexor, anyway. With Effexor, you get dizzy if you haven't had enough.

I'm in favor of whatever works for you, Sail. I'm glad you've found something you like.

I think I missed congratulating amych on her house! Congrats! Happy b-day (belated) to Sean!

They sound cool. I saw a display stand in the grocery store for them, yesterday, but it was already out of them! I may have to haunt one of the local stores to try and get my hands on some.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Those Pirates of the Caribbean M&Ms sound irrisistible.

Are they doing a dark chocolate variety? I was all about the Sith M&Ms when they were doing the Star Wars tie-in.

Are they doing a dark chocolate variety?

Not that I've seen, just the milk and the white. And M&M Minis, which apparently change color. (I eat them too quickly to actually see it. Not to mention they're called minis for a reason.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Sane people want to live and have survival instincts.

Sane people who live in constant, mind-numbing pain and want that pain to stop aren't crazy. That is sanity. Fortunately, there's ways to stop that pain now that mean you don't have to die to make it stop.

Depressed people do want to live, and fight being depressed until exhaustion makes it impossible to keep from drowning.

I resent being called crazy for wanting the pain to stop.
