Your taunting means nothing to me today, ita.
Also, I'm watching Anchors Aweigh (Gene Kelly/Frank Sinatra from 1945), and there's a really cute little kid in it, and the little kid turns out to be Dean Stockwell! Har.

Congratulations, Jesse! All around great news.
Okay, I'm trying to help a friend who is asking fo r a raise. if someone is making 29,120.00 and they get a raise to 35,000.00, what percentage of a raise is that?
Should I know this? Yes, I certainly should, but I know I am doing the math wrong and don't have time to figure out how to do it right.

You'd want to look at the difference in pay as a percentage of the original pay level. So, (35000-29120)/29120 = about 20%
(35000-29120)/29120=.201923
20%
Ha! My math-foo is stronger quicker!
Hee. I actually refreshed once to see if anyone had already answered before posting, trying to avoid the x-post.
Why? I don't know. Doomed to failure, clearly.
Robin, if my math is right, (and that's a dubious thing) it's a 20% raise.
