Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I was into Lost last season, but when they broke their promise at the end, it became dead to me. If I hear it has a good ending, I may watch s2 on DVD.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am fond of Medium. Jake Weber is adorable and they seem like actual married people, with talking things over in bed (to which he wears boxers, like most guys I've known who wear something to bed) and juggling errands in a morning rush and clearly loving and enjoying each other but not flirting 24/7.

And of course House.

What was the promise? I can't even remember.

Seriously, what was the Lost promise?

Gus, I'm loving Veronica Mars. I've just started rewatching S1, straight through. When I'm done, I'm going to watch s2 straight through, and see how much of the pacing problem feels internal to the story, and how much was due to the wacky scheduling.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I'll agree on the Chris Carter-itis of Lost. Why am I still watching it? I don't really know.

With Veronica Mars it's not so much that the arcs were slow, as they were badly paced, and often scattershot. (There's also the problem that I seem to be the only one online who a)doesn't care for Logan b) doesn't want Logan and Veronica together and c) is really sick of the Logan-the-woobie pile-on. Hmmm, I think I see a pattern emerging :) )

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've had enough TV to keep me busy. I dropped a few shows with either a resounding clatter or nowt but a whimper (Desperate Housewives, Smallville, Without A Trace), watch some with mitigated enjoyment (Veronica Mars, Lost, The OC), and look forwards to others (Grey's Anatomy, The Unit). I was sad for a cancellation or two (Kitchen Confidential rankled), but it's not significantly better or worse out there than it ever was for me.

I'm looking forward to the summer season: The 4400, Dead Zone, Eureka, etc.

I don't remember the details (like I said, it became dead to me) but they said that they were going to answer questions in the finale. I fully expected new questions to be raised, but they really didn't answer anything at all.

Also, I like Medium too, but it's not quite must-see for me.

I've just started rewatching S1, straight through.

Beware, O, Buffista. Watching a season straight through is akin to reading a novel, rather than the serialization of the novel. It leads one to think that the novel is the better form. Along this path lays a madness that angers the Network PTB's.

Sheryl: If Logan didn't come back next year, I would tune in twice.

Seriously, what was the Lost promise?

Didn't they swear that viewers would find out what was in the hatch in the Lost finale? Which was not technically a lie, if "a ladder" was the answer, but it's not a good idea to play those kinds of games with your audience.
