Out of annoyed curiosity, I sat down to try to figure out when I put in a help call about not being able to send mail. April 25 (thank goodness I bitch a lot here.)

Have I heard back? Of course not. Now normally, I'd have been bitchier about this but I was preoccupied. So I log on to the site to make another call, and I notice something. Something about changed email settings. Dated May 5. Fuckers. Cowardly, lazy, incompetent customer service morons.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Just back from dentist. Teeth cleaned. Teeth X-rayed. Teeth OK.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just heard from garage. Diagnosis performed. Catalytic converter busted. $1200.

OK, that fucking sucks.

I'm having the brakes fixed today, and the converter put off until my next oil change.

At what point of $$ of repairs does one consider a new car?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

At the point where the repairs will start to exceed the value of the car.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

At the point where the repairs are more than car payments

It's easy if the next repair exceeds the price of the car. But I end up repairing one thing per oil change, at about $300/change. Over what period would I add up the repairs to see if they exceed.

Man, if they made Jettas like the one I have, I wouldn't even ask the question. I'd be excited about a new car. So far, there aren't any that are as fun as mine.

My car payments are $0, so that's been exceeded.

For me? You've about reached the point where I would consider looking at a new car. Once something's broken every time you go in. On the other hand, I suppose you could just hold out until you've repaired almost everything.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sucks ita. How is the rest of your horrible terrible no good day going?
