Why is Hard Core Logo not on iTunes (my cd is trapped in my defunct car CD changer.)
Why is London Philharmonic classified under Goth Rock?
Why did I have to download a bunch of shit under my sister's name (and credit card) because it wouldn't recognize my log in tonight? I should probably call her about that, you think?
I watched TAR for the first time this season and I firmly believe that it was
because of me that Lake and Michelle are gone. Now I actually may start watching again.
Is it going to be at 8pm from now on? It was on at 10 before, and I was all, whatever. Other TAR thoughts: dude, do not
drive behind the old couple!
Also, my favorite team is totally, er, that team that started out in last place,
but then hit the mat second but had a 15 minute penalty. I don't know names so much. But I liked them!
I think that was
Ray and Yolanda? Yeah, I really like them.
That's it, brenda.
Signed, too tired to Google. Or go to CBS.com.
And why should you, when you have us?
TAR question:
How did Lake and Michelle compare to Jon and Victoria? They couldn't be as bad, could they?
Not nearly, billytea. Whole different league.
BT, Not as bad.
Michelle seems to stand up for herself more, and there's less physical threat to Lake.
OTOH,
Michelle is more passive aggressive, and Lake swears at her a lot more.
All this talk upthread about shoes makes me wonder if anyone has seen Kinky Boots yet? I just heard about it in a review that specifies that the movie itself is great, Ejiofor should be a big damn movie star if this ever hit a big audience, and the shoes are fabulous!
Eh...I thought the movie sucked and the shoes were boring.
Ejiofor gives a much better performance than the movie deserves. (Frankly, I found the portrayal of his character borderline offensive, it was such a shallow fucking cliche. Very much the Magical Negro Drag Queen, with a hearty side helping of Gay People Are So Nice And Funny And Helpful As Long As We Can Pretend They Don't Ever Actually Have Sex.)
TAR: I was so
shocked to see Lake and Michelle go! Not displeased, mind you, but I thought for sure this was a non-elim. They're really holding them back til the very end, aren't they?
Top Chef:
Dear GOD Stephen has to go. I hate him so so so so much. Unfortunately, Andrea really did throw in the towel this week. I think she was trying to lose, honestly -- she understands that this is more important to the others than it is to her. She seems like a really genuinely good person, as long as I don't ever have to eat her food.
Not as bad.
Not nearly. Lake's
an asshole, no question, but I wouldn't call him abusive, the way Jonathan was. And Michelle seems to at least understand that she's not in the world's greatest marriage -- if the best thing you can think of to say in your exit interview is "It works for us, and we're doing our best," there are problems beyond the stress of the race. But Victoria never said a single bad word about Jonathan, which I found far more disturbing.
