If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Or, you know, not teach.

If I don't teach, I have to find my own replacement.

Teaching is a lot less stressful.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

If I don't teach, I have to find my own replacement.

Are you going to have lots of minions assistants you can make do most of the work?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wonder why Evan Bayh gets no love from the Dems. He's a former governor, current senator, a centrist and damned fine looking.

God, I know, right? Last time around, I think he wasn't interested because of little twins, but now?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I want Obama in 2016, not now. I do like Bayh well enough, given the other options. But I want Gore back in now so mcuh I can taste it. I think it would be a whole different ball game - not just because of the Bush shit, but I think Gore has really found his feet (and his balls).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

They'll never give me Bill Bradley, will they?

Art Crawl!!!

TAR: Mojo lost! Hahahaha! The fried crickets - yuck. I'm so happy that Ray and Yolanda not only made it to the final -- but had the Golden Gnome.

hip deep in pie

Sumi, I was happy MoJo came in last too. At the start of this race, I never thought I'd be rooting for them to lose over the frat boys.

Umm McCain is anti marriage equality, pro-drug war. His formal anti-torture stance was accompanied by support for taking away habeus rights from U.S. prisoners - which meant they had no actual way to enforce those rights. Similarly on global warming he supports these little tokens weaker than the Kyoto accord which is weak anough. McCain is no centrist, not even an old fashioned conservative; he is simply a right winger who is not bug-fuck crazy. Better than Bush of course, but still pretty awful

OK and a non-political question. My 84 year mom is traveling to NY in July. She has pretty specific needs in terms of times and dates of departure or arrival. Just try the airline sites? Or do you recommend one of the on-line booking services?
