Was that to Callie's face? When she asked George to stand up for her, when did she know he hadn't? I agree that Mere really needs to be nice to Callie. I'd be surprised and think it out of character if that extended to not going on about the pee thing. It's not like she was making it up, after all.

I'm not saying that the question was right. Just that the question wasn't related to what she said he hadn't done. There's no tie between the two. If she'd said "How could you believe that of me?" or "How could you doubt me?" it'd make sense to me.

So you think that him defending her without believing her is unlikely or too out of character? Honestly, I think him not defending her yet believing her would be in character, although that's not what happened. He's just not the stick-uppiest sort of guy, especially with those two.

I think that Callie assumed (correctly) that George didn't defend her because he asked her if she washed her hands. I mean, it was possible that he did, but not likely.
