Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Vortex and Jessica were the ones that turned me on to it, Perkins. It's on AMC--it's about the shenanigans of a motley crew of con artists.

It's a decent caper-per-week with some nicely charismatic characters, and some stylistic affectations that I am falling for. They pulled off a nice trolley shot in this past episode, way better than Spike Lee ever managed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Fuck, I should really be watching Hustle -- it's on cable, so there are reruns, yeah? I can't even see ANTM until Tuesday!

I'll have to look for it, ita. Thanks.

I love how I'm all, "DAMMIT! Yet ANOTHER television show I'm sure I'd like?!?!"

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

AMC runs each ep 3 or 4 times, and they've done at least one marathon (of S1, right before they started airing S2).

I don't know if they've picked up the rights to S3 yet or not -- there's a legal issue with one of the eps which may cause problems, but I don't know the whole story so I can't say anything for sure.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

They pulled off a nice trolley shot in this past episode, way better than Spike Lee ever managed.

Which shot was this?

Is there a strong arc to Hustle, or can you jump in at a random point?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which shot was this?

The one where the Cockney guy is in the art gallery, and has just had the Mondrian pointed out to him. I think it starts by them changing the focal length of the lens, but then they cut away to the painting and then back on him, and it's a trolley shot up until they pan to show the mark who is now at his side.

It is awful when you find good new TV, isn't it? At least all the traditional season is over.

This week my ability to get stress headaches instantaneously is back. I'm backsliding on the concussion stuff, I swear. Ironically, I'm training less than ever, so I can't blame krav, not in the near term. But the place where I hit my head is intermittently throbbing, and just catching a trigger thing on TV (immigrant West Indian father rendered near insensible by (possibly racially motivated) murder of his son) and boom! Pain!

I should get my stuff out of the dryer.
