Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sucks, Jess.

ita, did you see Far From Heaven? If not, you should.

The first role I really noticed him in was in Waiting to Exhale. Until 24, he was "oh, that guy."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That bites, Jess.

Jesse--I'll add that to my Netflix list.

Which reminds me, I should watch a damned movie this weekend. I think I might have jogged myself out of notflixing by sending back two of the discs I was stalling on, incomplete. And I only have to watch the second half of Clueless (I sent it back halfwatched so I could get Crash before the Oscars) as part of my "How does this movie look now that I live here?" program.

However, I have 12 hours of Miami Vice on the TiVo.

Who was he in that? I just plain don't remember the movie. Disliked it.

He was Whitney Houston's married boyfriend.

Okay. I remember two scenes from that movie (that weren't the Loretta Devine subplot). One was the car being torched, and the other was them comiserating in the dance club. The latter was about where I zoned out, because reviling someone for the offense you're about to commit can be a really quick way for a character to lose me. And I sure felt like the author wanted me to think it was okay.

Combining Miami Vice and repurposing actors, John Leguizamo has a notable recurring role as the Calderone kid in two early eps of the show, and is now in what looks like a smaller role as someone completely different. Too confusing when you're mainlining.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My favourite example of that is Colin Baker, who played the sixth Doctor in Doctor Who, and also got a speaking part as a Gallifreyan guard in an earlier ep, where he got to execute the fifth Doctor.

Why the hell am I getting a wrong number?

I don't know. You should give them a call and find out.

May 26th.

It's a shame I didn't have to look that up.

I know the when. I just don't know what theaters. For instance, are they releasing it at the Cinerama Dome?
